I love the fact that the cat is giving him a bath, whether he likes it or not, and the total look of defeat and resignation as the cat goes to work.

Wished we all felt that way about humans

How could you ditch this character at the park? He's such a character and he has those ears! Some people are straight up heartless.

He's a high energy dog and they likely didn't want to spend the time training and exercising him...he was likely an incessant barker and chewing things up due to boredom.

@@smustipher I'm sure. So so many dogs are neglected of daily walks, especially in a nation filled to the brim with obese people. Still, if you're unable to care for a dog don't just kick it out on the street; literally in this case.

@@jona.scholt4362 for sure. The were careless when they decided to adopt him (i.e. probably did not bother to evaluate if they were a good fit for the breed), and they were just as careless in the way they gave him up. He thankfully found a kind and savvy pet owner to take him in.

@@smustipher I saved my dog and his first family by adopting him from them at 9 months. Cattle dogs are tough dogs that need a strong caring parent who understands he’s a teammate in this. They are too smart to be followers. They make decisions and hopefully you showed them your boundaries.

he might be a part of some breeds, but one thing is more than obvious hes a sweetheart and precious beauty

I hate how she assumed the tail was cut. Cattle dogs are one of the breeds who NATURALLY have short tails. They are born that way.

It's so sad how he was just throwing away like trash. I'm so glad that you found him. And that you adopted him. And you're giving him the best life possible. Thank you for getting him my friend his friend is adorable and he's adorable. And thank you for fostering.

It's terrible that Ed's previous owner cut off his tail and abused him and threw him out of the car but it's also very wonderful that Kelsey took him in and showered Ed with love and kindness and lots of patience and thinks of him as her soulmate and her fiance helps too. He is a very handsome dog and it's so nice that he was able to bond with the cat too.

Some Cattle Dogs often have their tails cropped to prevent injury from livestock. The people who dropped him off are still scum of the earth though.

There is a stumpy tail cattle dog who has a naturally short tail, they are born with a short tail. I have gotten asked if my dog’s tail has been docked which it hasn’t. I have one of these dogs. I wonder if Ed has stumpy cattle dog in him.

ILoveLamp No, that’s the Aussie shepherd. The Australian shepherd is docked. Not cattle dog. If you look up the standard for cattle dog they have tails. And the cattle dogs are sometimes born without tails. So it’s ok. Don’t make assumptions without knowing what you’re talking about.

His genetic makeup may be uncertain, he looks very similar to an Australian Kelpie, a sheepdog. What is certain is that the World needs more people like his soulmate. Many thanks for the posting.

Yep, definitely Kelpie. I had a Red Cloud.

My Aussie Heeler, Maxx, passed in 2014. A most devoted companion, miss him dearly. Ed most definently has Heeler traits and then some...his ears are undeniable. 4-legged blessings they are. Thanks be to the Most High GOD for providing these little lives to share.
