Natalie did the right thing, never stop searching for a solution. She is determined loving and caring, best owner Gigi could possibly have. I am sorry that her previous owner had to re-home Gigi, but she found the perfect home. Gigi is absolutely lovely, her pure eyes and gentle soul easily win your heart. The pilots were amazing, and the vet that did the procedure is a legend. I wish everyone involved in Gigi's happiness a good life.

Wow, one vet & only one vet could do the surgery. What an amazing veterinarian, I sure hope he or she passes along the wisdom of their career to future vets so we can all benefit as pet parents 🥰

When everything else is going crazy in this world, I always go to KZread to watch videos like this. If all people could show the same kind of compassion for each other as people show their pets, the world would be a much better place.

Oh the feels 🥲🥰. As someone with multiple disabilities and living in Colorado too lol, I can connect so much with Gigi and her family. As ironic as it is, I needed spinal surgery very badly because I had multiple tears in my dural space and was leaking spinal fluid. It was debilitating and life threatening and I saw every doctor I could in Colorado and no one would operate on me due to the fact I might die. Luckily, I found a surgeon in California at Cedars-Sinai and he fixed all the leaks in my spine and neck (he found more tears while I was there), and I went home 2 months later. We only had to pay a little for the surgery and I'm so grateful that Cedars-Sinai gives a lot of people a second chance at life. As a rescuer as well, we have 5 cats and a dog, and I'd do anything for them. Gigi's story makes me so happy and shows just how much people and animals are alike. We all go through tough times and uncertainty, but also joy, love, cuddles and so much more. It's so amazing how similar are stories are and I'm grateful to the doctors, nurses, vet techs and even secretaries, for taking the option of hope for animals that are in dire need of it. Thank you so much for sharing your story Gigi and family and thank you for letting me share mine as well. All the loves, scratches, kisses, walks through the summer and snow (cuz we get a lot of snow! Thank you for reading my original novel of a post and my reply is the same lol... I have to explain a bit so maybe what I share can help someone else. 🙂💜💙 You're right Donna, that having animals keeps us through the worst of times and make a huge impact on our lives. My pets are my children because I can't have children due to the extent of my disabilities but that's okay. I'm adopted so I know that's a great option for my future if I decide it's something I want and can do. I'm lucky that I live with my brother who married my best friend lol, and they have 2 adorable girls that I love to death and in a way are like my kids. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, POTS, Mass Cell Syndrome, and a lot more going on, so unfortunately I do live everyday in pain and that will never change. However, I don't want people to pity me or feel sorry, just try your best to be understanding of my disabilities, ask questions because that's okay, and be respectful of how I live my life. My pain is a constant but I don't let it get me down and control me. I choose to be happy, positive, silly, sarcastic, crazy cat mom, and the favorite Auntie because I'm a child at heart. Holding onto your inner child is very important I think and very powerful because it keeps you going. I used to be a Special Education Teacher so I'm built to think differently and do things way outside the box lol, so I'm okay with how I am. I've had 8 major surgeries all before I turned 35 this year. I'm proud of my battle scars and I made it through each surgery from the support of my family and pets. Some people think cats are aloof and incapable of expressing love like dogs, but they are way off lol. All my cats have individual, unique, purrfectly pure-hearted, playful, prissy, pretty personalities lol 😁🙂🐱. They stayed with me, offered to make biscuits, rub on my freshly coated Chapstick covers lips lol and play on my level until I was recovered. They choose to stay with me a lot, which kinda surprised me lol, and hang out in my room that's basically there's. I have a bed but they've claimed most of it, my drawers, closet, under my bed and even have a litter box and 6 foot tall luxury cat post. And I'm only 5 feet tall! The moral of the story...animals have personalities, souls and spirits, so cherish them while you can. Don't let whatever you have going on in your life take over because there's all help and it's there if you reach out. Thank you again Donna for your kind reply and to anyone who liked my post and took the time to read the 2nd chapter in my novel lol. All the loves from me 🥰🥰🥰

I also want to wish you the best Amelia. I totally understand what you're saying about your beautiful fur family. I suffer from depression and anxiety amongst other things but my 2 beautiful cats and 1 pup are everywhere I am. I can't leave a room without each of them following me. To be honest, I wouldn't be here if it weren't for them, though I'm not going to dwell on that as I'm hoping the worst is over. But animals have such an intrinsic bond with their people that a lot of others just can't understand. That bond works both ways and we will do anything and everything for them as they do for us. Wishing you well from Australia 🇦🇺 😊

Hi Monique from Colorado, USA! I am so happy for you! 😁🥰 Animals really do build unique connections with people in their family but especially those who need them most. My cats love everyone but they are glued to me lol. They do things for me not just because of my disabilities but I think, to show how much they love their impurrfect, purrfect mom lol. My 2 newest cat rescues come when called, by their name, only to me lol and go to the bathroom when I ask them too. I tried asking them to go potty before we went to the vet so they wouldn't be as nervous and make a mess in their crate. And we all know how much fun it is to bathe a cat that's convinced your trying to kill it lol. But since then, they do a lot of things for me and I just adore them and I've become more humbled than ever before. I rescue animals because I know they need me and a safe space to live, be loved, be silly and mischievous, and cuddle. Who knew they would end up saving me? 🥲🥰 Thank you Monique for reply and kind words and I wish all the best for you. I know are situations are different and yet the same lol, so I just wanted to say (this is part humor and sarcasm cuz that helps me a ton but if it's not your thing, Let me know and I will fix it and apologize)... Hang in there on the rough days because every minute that goes by where you're being loved by a fur baby, a person, or even yourself, will help lift that heavy veil of yuck and then you'll be back out there, cooking on the Barbi lol, chasing Kangaroos and working on your tan, surfin at the beach, simultaneously being shark bait but more like shark exercise cuz girl you know you're fast. And at the end of the day, you go back home and things aren't bad at all. The doom and gloom was beaten out by the 🦘roos and all your family and fur babies are ready for round 1,458,492 of love, cuddles and play just for you. Love you Monique! Coming from a father and grandfather who were pilots and with having been a nursing student until my own health nixed that, I have to remark that both her going on the flights and your being able to watch the surgery are remarkable events. And then I'll say, What? You mean the pilots didn't roll down the windows so she could stick out her head and let her ears flap in the breeze? How rude! ;) :D

That dog had a Guardian Angel looking out for it!Got her the owner who wouldn't take no for an answer,didn't give up.I had a 5 month old kitten who was limping. He was.diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. Very serious neurological disease. I cured him with Homeopathy. With the help of a friend who is a microbiologist, he gave me information that the Veterinarians didn't have.You never know what is possible!!💗💗💗

This woman’s persistence and commitment to finding a way to save her Great Dane brought tears to my eyes. The elephant in the room is: the gold bead surgery works, so why isn’t it a tool in all veterinary surgical practices? I am so grateful that this owner shared her research and successes so that other owners of dogs with Wobblers Syndrome will know what to do. Horses get Wobblers also so perhaps other species do too. This video was PURE GOLD ❤️.

This is such a beautiful rescue story, one of the most inspirational I've seen, because it shows how when someone really cares about another and finding the very best solution to a problem that is possible, how amazing the results can be .. It also shows how when we reach out to each other, and not depend upon the official system's solutions, we often discover options available to us that we would have not otherwise been aware of (both the doctor she found and those wonderful pilots that enabled her to get Gigi there are the perfect example of this). I just love this perfect example of how when people really just want to help other people, nothing is impossible .. Extraordinarily rare to find someone who will make such an effort for another human being, let alone a dog, and often there isn't a happy ending despite the valiant attempt and expense. My cousin's dog broke his leg and the vet insisted it had to be amputated. So she went to a second vet who not only insisted on the amputation, but threatened to report her to the authorities for animal cruelty if she didn't go through with it. Despite that, she went to a third that was much further away who took another x-ray and realized the other two vets had taken a bad angle that made it look much worse than it was. One quick and cheap surgery later, the dogs hopping around and sprinting on that leg as though nothing happened. TL;DR - ALWAYS get a second or third opinion.

What a great story. I hope she continues to recover back to as normal as possible. I would hope the doctor who performed the surgery would get the word out there of his surgical techniques so that other dogs can be saved. Tail wags.
