@@SH19922x Just because your life is miserable doesn't mean everybody else is. And you know absolutely nothing, nothing, if you think that dog is miserable. You really ought to seriously think about opening your mouth in public again.
We see time and time again the pure love these animals can bring - even when they've had such hard lives. They're not bitter.

@@lulumoon6942 The Spanish greyhound, or galgo, is one of the most persecuted dog breeds. Galgos are used to hunt hares in the Spanish countryside. They spend their lives in damp, tiny, dirty holes or windowless shacks deprived of daylight, exercise and affection. They are typically fed only water and stale bread. At the end of the hunting season, countless are disposed of or abandoned. Sadly, the galgo's native land still views it as a second-class animal and few Spaniards will own them as pets. They are bred carelessly and used for hunting by galgueros (galgo handlers). At the end of the hunting season in Spain, the galgos deemed worthless or too costly to maintain are destroyed in a variety of inhumane ways - including being hanged, dumped into abandoned wells, shot, and even burned to death.

@@siyete1 Most of those things aren't true or exaggerated. most people in Spain love galgos you will see many people with "adopted" ones in cities. there's 3 types of people in Spain regarding galgos . 1. true at heart galgueros: they are hare coursing aficionados and mostly, take good care of their dogs the thingy is that they are countryside people sometimes of low resources thus their kennels and the condition dogs are kept might not be pretty in typical pet dog owner eyes. they keep their dogs as the working breed they are. 2. Poachers/shady people: They are the ones responsible for the bad reputation of galgueros. they are unscrupulous illegal hunters that STEAL galgos from real aficionados to "use them"and then get rid of them as you mentioned. they are also the main reason many dogs are kept in literal "bunkers" to prevent them from being stolen. usually belonging to a specific "ethnic" group, ehem gypsies/romani 3. Animal "wrongs" activist: they are either good intentioned people strongly biased against hunters and galgueros with an unhealthy hatred towards them. or straight unscrupulous animal shelters driven by money and exploiting galgos's sweet gentle nature and aura , which makes them extremely popular "rescue" dogs, just for their own profit, exporting dogs all over the world to unsuspecting "adoptees" rather buyers. those people also STEAL dogs. In their minds they are saving them from horrible conditions and evil abusive conservative monsters. there's tho, a growing number of breed enthusiasts all over the world. owners and ethical breeders who work to preserve the purebred galgo español. they don't cross their dogs with imported Irish coursing greyhounds (which they are called English galgos here in Spain). breeders also participate in conformation shows and are much more "literate" than typical hare coursing aficionado/countryside folk.

@@siyete1 I’ve even heard (from PETA) that they are kept for blood taking and their blood is sent to veterinary clinics. I really hope this is not how most vet clinics get their blood from, because this is beyond cruel. Why are people so evil to defenceless animals?

@@siyete1 that doesn't make a whole lot of sense... like I know a lot of people don't treat hunting or working dogs in the best manor, but to train then dispose of a decent hunting/working dog after one season? That makes no practical sense. I would also think that keeping them always confined and underfed would make them increasingly poor hunting/working dogs. I can see (though I don't support it) confining them and depriving them of a bit of food for a day or two before the hunt. That might make them much more eager to do what you trained them for. But always locked away... they're not getting regular exercise to keep up their stamina. Always starved... they won't have the energy, low stamina. Idk about Spain, but here in the US when someone has a trained hunting/working dog, they may not treat them up to common "pet" standards but they are at least as well cared for as normal livestock animals. Not much different from horses or something.
Id bet that everything that exists just wants to be loved and accepted for what they are.

A mother's love extends infinitely. Plus she is built for speed snow drifts and her winter clothes can't slow her down
Fortunately she has a loving and dignified home 😄🐶💖👍 Who saves a life saves the whole world.
What an INCREDIBLE Mom Alejandra is!!!! She deserves to now live the life of the queen she is ☺️❤️
Seeing her leap through the snow in her little snowsuit was everything!!!!!!! My recent rescue who is supposedly a really aggressive pup, kicked out of foster homes, etc just licked me after 4 days so I get that feeling she had. It’s crazy how some pets, when aligned with a certain person, can just relax and be themselves. Ps I took on this recent rescue because my other pup who I took in at 9.5 years old, now 15 had a lot of aggressive tendencies that we were able to work through, so though I’m partial to chihuahuas, his behavior reminded me of my Butter’s so I decided to take him in. So far, so good. Only aggression has come from Butter who didn’t want me to put a matching collar on him. 😂😂😂 I guess it was too soon.

My wife and I rescued a Greyhound dog just like this one! His name was Commander. Best dog ever! Sweet as the day is long. That was 16 years ago and we still talk about him and miss him too!
Shes a lovely dog and a brilliant mama.
Not only did you save her she saved you. Much love and blessings to the people that found her and took care of her and her puppies. She's a beautiful soul thank you for giving her a home.

Seeing senior dogs finally have the life they should always had have is so wholesome and knowing what galgos go through this is extra awesome. The adopter is wonderful too in hey way of seeing the world. This is such a beautuful video, thank you!
What an amazing story I fell in love with Nanda's spirit the smile She had when the puppies were older was simply Infectious.
She is a good ole girl she should been given everything she wants.

Nanda...meaningful name...and definitely matches with this baby🥰
I don't know why, but this made me cry of happiness.
Made me cry when she put her head close to yours.
Sighthounds are truly a gift from above…they have amazing intuition and when they choose you it’s forever!
OK. I cried happy tears for the mom dog and the great people who saved her and her puppies -- both her own and her adopted puppies. She is so beautiful inside and out. I'm so happy she's now safe and happy with her new mom.
I always cry from happiness after watching these videos, story about Alejandra was beautiful like lot of your stories. I just wanted to thank people who opened hearts for these animals and restored their lives. You made world much better. I wanted also thank channel Dodo for showing people that even ugly or hurted to death animals should have the best life as we can offer. If humans can't, why animals have to?
"Are you crying?" "Maybe." I felt that.
When she first gave her new mama a kiss, it put tears in my eyes….
Such a beautiful dog both inside and out. Nanda was such a good Mom to her own pups and her adopted ones. Now she's living the life she deserves.
I love the doggies’ snow gears ☃️❄️🎿🐕🐾❤️. It protects them from the elements and also provides warmth. They look so cozy and happy 😊.
That kiss Nanda gave to her new owner was a “Thank you” kiss. You can tell she’s so happy in Finland with her owner and Lyra. Absolutely perfect way to spend the last few years of her life
I’m loving her doggy snow suit! So adorable.🥰😄
Nanda has a nicer winter coat than I do - and she deserves it!! Thank you for all involved in her road to recovery and her forever home!
Nanda has such beautiful and expressive eyes. Dogs are amazing....how she can still be so giving after everything that she has gone through is a testament to how amazing dogs are
I love that she went to a home with another dog. That had to help her adjust.
What a wonderful Galga! I’ve adopted retired racing greys for 22 years and absolutely adore their gentle, sensitive nature. It’s absolutely horrendous how the Galgo and Podenco breeds are treated in Spain. I’m so thankful to see Alejandra and her babies were spared the torture and murder most are subjected to. We hope to one day adopt a Galgo to our pack. I have medical issues due to kidney failure and my hounds have helped lift my mood on the hardest days and they comfort me as much as I did for them. Sighthounds have the longest history as working dogs with humans thanks to the Saluki. All the sighthound Breeds that are offshoots from the Saluki have thousands of years hardwired breeding to be in sync with their humans and are extremely intuitive to when you are in pain or sadness. I would highly encourage anyone to consider adopting a Galgo. Some come from the most dire circumstances and with recovery and patience blossom into such wonderful cuddle buddies. To this day nothing makes me happier than spooning our 92 lb retired racer Archie after a busy day. He’s as long as me stretched out and just the sweetest boy tucked under my arms. The only downside of the breeds is a shorter life span and genetic propensity to bone cancer (which is common in all L-XL breed dogs). My life has been made so much better by Ava, Augie, Atticus and Archibald. We hope to never have anything but Sighthounds!

God bless you. Was tearing up reading this. Be well.
Beautiful. I follow GDS and remember this super mum. I'm delighted to see her so happy and loved. GDS you did this. You brought this little lost soul in, who had 10 years of danger and uncertainty, and cared for her, and introduced her to this lovely lady. Nanda is beautiful and this is a beautiful ending. Thank you all.
Nanda is a gorgeous dog with a beautiful soul! So happy to see her living the life she deserves!!!! 💗
If humans could only be this loving! I love you baby girl….u are the best Mom ever!
She has the most soulful eyes.
You can just tell what a loving, nurturing doggo Alejandra is. I love that the pups are all littermates now. Wishing Alejandra all the best in her new forever home.
In these uncertain times, this brings me laughter and joy!!
Have rescued 3 greyhounds over the years, Each had truly horrible starts in life. Ali, Penny, Kelly. Each became the love of my life. I like to think they had the best life whilst with me. Ali was 17 years old, Penny, 15 and Kelly almost 17 when I lost them. Penny was 3 years old, pregnant, starved, covered in sores, etc, etc when I got her, so it has brought it all back and made me cry big time. This poor soul, 10 years old, half starved, pregnant, but the love and care she gave to not only her own, but also the other 7 puppies, who needed a mother just shows what a loving spirit this lady has. Am so happy she has found a loving forever home. xxx
Nanda, Emma and Lyra, have a beautiful life filled with love. 💐💕🐾

I love her "survival suit" and snow boots! Great story, fantastic new beginning!
What a wonderful story, and happy ending for that beautiful girl!! And what a fantastic mother she was! So happy she has the home and love she deserves!🥰🥰
Now that's a super doggie mom. To give love to animals is such a gift as it's always returned.
I had a mixed Galgo/Shepherd I adopted when I lived in Spain, and Nanda's temperament reminded me so much of him. He was a loving couch potato who had bursts of puppy behavior right up until he was nearly 15 and too old to run. I miss that good boy.
What a beautiful, sweetheart of a dog! She truly went above and beyond in caring so lovingly for so many little ones. Long life and happiness to her, all her pups and to the humans who stepped up to help them. A job very well done.

I love that... "she vibrates on a frequency of love..." how beautiful.
I have Remmington, he's Liver/Red Merle, 1/2 Retriever & 1/2 Australian shepherd, about a year old. I adopted him a few months ago. He'd been listed in a rehoming ad and 3 days later thrown out on a busy highway. Bless his heart, he was so terrified he hid in a huge culvert away from traffic (which saved his life). Upon seeing me he trusted me enough to come to me but when I reached down to touch him he YELPED in fear. (he'd been hit or beaten). We found each other!! I LOVE him dearly and he will NEVER be homeless again!! I'm SO GRATEFUL he's mine. (We are new here, I made our channel about a month ago. Please see his videos and our other pets. ) It still nearly breaks my heart how I found him... but we were meant to have each other.
Love does conquer all Alejandra proved that by how she came out of her shell from this reserved dog then after she had her litter of puppies then Alejandra got some more orphan puppies. So anyways God bless everyone who comes across this comment 🎚️
