It was interesting that the guys from the different eras had different songs they all liked to hear. The guys who served in Viet Nam loved to hear Knights in White Satin. My parents took me the next year. During THAT concert, the second Kenny began with, "Laaaddddy....", I squealed, "BABY!!!!" really loud in that silence, and everyone around us laughed. They probably knew exactly how I felt. My husband-to-be took me to the 3rd concert. Kenny was passing near us and I was able to touch him on his shouder. Hellloooo! We saw him one last time before he died.

This song is OFF THE CHARTS. I can't imagine a female not wanting this level passion, devotion, loyalty, you name it, in her man! Kenny rocks this like no one can. I can definitely tell Lionel Richie wrote it though - Lionel is so distinct with his lyrics - really comes from the heart. He was the first person I ever saw in concert - I was in the 6th grade! Love 'em both!

Great reaction! This song was written by Lionel Richie for the Commodores, but they didn't want it. It was initially titled Baby. But when Lionel met with Kenny to pitch the song, Lionel said that Kenny was telling him about the lady he recently married. And how much of a lady she was. When Kenny asked Lionel what the name of the song was, he smartly said Lady. There's more to the story, but as they say...the rest is history.
