Lionel Richie wrote this for him, and Kenny credits him right at the beginning of this performance. You should definitely listen to Kenny's song Coward of the County. It inspired a movie and tv series etc. And also, try listening to The Gambler, if you want to hear more of Kenny. He was amazing, may he RIP.

My dad was the biggest Kenny fan, but who wasn’t back then? He’d play his songs on his guitar and my two sisters and I would sing along with him when we were little. Kenny’s always been a favorite of mine because he reminds me of my dad, who passed when I was 13.

Watching these five beautiful young men challenging themselves to opening their minds to music which crosses generations, genres and cultures just makes me so damn happy. You’ve gained a fan today💕🥰😘 Oh, also- try listening to Kenny singing “Ruby” when he was a member of the pop group The First Edition. It’s a song which gives the perspective of a wounded Vietnam War Veteran. I think you’ll love it!

@@barrydlewis7768 The likely assumption is the songwriter’s reference to “Crazy Asian war” was meant to be Vietnam. This song was first released by Waylon Jennings in 1967, during the time US combat units joined in the Vietnam war, 1965-1973. The US was involved in the Korean War from 1950-1953.

Didn't expect to see you guys react to Kenny Rogers, and if I did I wouldn't have guessed it would be "Lady." Great singer, corny at times but good at what he did and could moisten every pair of panties in the house when he was really on. This was a weird time in music when country, r&b, and soft rock all merged into a blob of inoffensive romantic mush. A lot of it was cheesy but some beautiful songs came out of it.

Please, PLEASE react to Bobbie Gentry (woman) and her song Ode' To Billy Joe. You will be in awe of her voice!! Old video, she's sitting on stage with her guitar and singing. Another request: Tracy Chapman's songs Fast Car and Give Me One Reason. Good stuff!

I have a woman Artist for you, Christina Aguilera I have to be honest, I really loved the way you all just listened quietly. Which is not a usual reaction but it was cool because you were just enjoying the song. Kenny Rogers had that nice raspy voice. I'm sad to say that I never got into his music much. Smh Great reaction guys 😎

Lionel is such a magnificent writer and human being. Kenny is a grand singer from the days of Kenny Rogers and the First Edition. G-d bless them both. Thanks for listening, guys.

Just want to say thanks for you guys. Your reactions are very enjoyable, and funny. SO MUCH music for you guys to enjoy and discover. I suggest you guys do one of Kenny's called "Just Dropped In " he was I. A group before going solo. It was used in the movie The Big Lowboski. Also Grand Funk Railroad, "inside looking out" 1969 live version has got to be one of the best performance.
