I actually met James Brown one day in the mid 1990's here in South Carolina. I pulled into a convenience store and he came out with a bottle of T.J. Swan wine. He stopped and spoke to me and my kids, he said "God loves the little children" and then left. I knew he lived several miles from me but you don't ever expect to meet someone like him outside of a store. It's just a nice memory of a very nice and talented man.

@@ES2990 oh knock if off please. Many of us have been doing our best to stop this all our adult lives. I grew up in Virginia where racism was very strong at the time and interracial marriage was against the law there, and was young during the civil rights movement. Those shaped my beliefs to support blacks and people of all races. I have multi racial friends of all ethnic groups including black, middle Eastern, Native Americans and hispanic, worked with and hung out with the black basketball players in college where we'd all get together at night in the dorms to play the piano and sing (a few of them went on to play with the Harlem Globe Trotters), brought black and other friends of varying races home for dinner with my family and have interracial family members. I continue signing political petitions, support and donated money to Rev. Warnock, Stacie Abrams, Corey Booker, Mandela Barns, Val Demings and a multitude of other people there, and voted twice for Obama. When he first ran, a friend said, "look at the black man." I had to look several times because I hadn't noticed Obama was black. It starts with one person at a time. As the Dalai Lama says, Peace Begins With the Individual". You sound like you're still bitter. So what are YOU doing to make changes? Can you think outside the box or are you still nurturing your grievances? Did you vote? Do you support candidates of all races based on qualifications, not just race? if so, did you vote Republican? Or Dem? Because that makes all the difference in the world. NOW LET'S GET BACK TO THE MUSIC!!

@@melvincabbagestalk6202 Thank you kindly friend! I grew up with Motown and oldies but goodies thanks to my dad. He exposed me to so much great music that I'm sad to say will never be made again. And I agree, lots of young folks don't know what good music is. But I'm so happy to see these five young men give all of these artists a look see and that gives me hope. I love this channel, and enjoy the banter back and forth, and how excited they are when they first hear a song they wouldn't know unless it was suggested. But being open minded is key.👍🏻
