“I didn’t know James Brown could dance.” Could be the understatement of the next 2 centuries!
The GODFATHER of Soul, The King of the da FUNK! JAMES BROWN!
I am very surprised to hear you say that you did not know James could dance. He had some very fancy foot work. Michael Jackson based many of his moves on Browns footwork and he said Brown was a major influencer on his dancing. You should take a look at some of the videos of James dancing. AMAZING

Greatest to ever do it. James Brown was the Blueprint for all the greats that came after him 🙌🏾
I play this when I'm alone in my car and REALLY get into it haha.
He was DYNAMIC!
Oh wow this is gonna be a treat!!! The Godfather of Soul!!
Dick Clark (American Bandstand and New Year's Rocking Eve) said that both Michael Jackson and Prince would regularly ask to see footage of James Brown as they studied his performances and dance/mic moves intensely.
“ I don’t know karate but I know crazy” we sang that all the time and laughed so hard!

the godfather say no more the funk master these people just come around with a gift from god
Hell yeah! Glad y’all got to see the hardest working man in show biz!
He had some trademark moves, aka They hardest workin' man in show business.
I saw James walking down the street in downtown ATL when I was 10!! I was so excited to see him . we were stopped at a redlight and I was leaning out the back window of our Lincoln. He came over and said hi to me. My very uncool Dad freaked out and took off . I was just so in shock. very cool James Brown.
If you didn’t know James Brown can dance, then you need to watch the Tami Show back in the 50’s. They had it in the biopic Get On Up. That shows you why he’s called The Godfather of Soul.

James Brown played that concert in association with the legendary boxing match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman that came to be called "The Rumble in The Jungle". Zaire doesn't exist anymore. It collapsed in the nineties in the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide. Kinshasa is now the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

It is fascinating how history can be taught and understood through the culture of music and sports, etc. Thank you for bringing it all together.
Finally! Now you know! He's the master and a legendary performer and dancer. this is a classic tune that was pounding from every car and at every cookout or dance party in the '70s 👍😂 everybody knew the line, "I don't know karate but I know ca-razy!" Check out a documentary of his life sometime. He was dancing since he was 5 years old a lot like Michael jackson, who idolized him. love you two 💞
James Brown's dance style was unique to him. That man was/is a national treasure. One of a kind.
Y’all may have talked over the song’s best line, “I don’t know karate…but I know ka-razor!” Everybody used to say that back in the day!

@@rosee.494 Lol! I remember hearing another great JB song, Get Up, Get Into It, Get Involved, and thought he was singing "get embalmed"!
The one and only James Brown!!!! 😎
Yes, he was known for his dancing as well as music. Was a great influence on those who came after. He had it all!
James was well known for his stage shows and dancing. He popularized energetic dancing while performing in concert. His shows were legendary and folks like Michael Jackson, Prince, Usher, Chris Brown are definitely limbs off the JB tree.
Hey Twins, if you want to see James Brown at his absolute best, check out his performance from the T.A.M.I. show in 1964. This was a concert that featured many great artists, but James Brown & the Famous Flames were by far the showstoppers. Word is that he was the next to last act to perform, a move that the Rolling Stones (the last performers) greatly regretted. If, as you say, you didn't know JB could dance, prepare to have your minds blown--guaranteed.
Ya'll don't know anything 'bout this!!!! JB is the dance influence for so many artists.....He is the GODFATHER of song, soul AND dance!!!! THE BIG PAYBACK!!!
More James! More soul! More funk!
The original Godfather of Soul!
James Brown The Godfather of Soul
There's a good video of James Brown in the 60s on the Ed Sullivan show. It's a classic with his band coming to his assistance with the cape after he gets himself all worked up. (It was all part of his theatrics.) Also please do a reaction to Eddie Murphy on SNL doing an impression of James Brown in a hot tub....another classic!

Besides his dancing, he is also known to be one of the most sampled artists ever!
Get down. Get Down. That's why he's Soul Brother Number 1.
I suggest you listen to more James Brown. You will be enlightened by his music & footwork.
When it comes to Dancing, James Brown influenced everyone from Michael Jackson to Prince to Bobby Brown to Usher to Chris Brown. His influence carried over from one generation to the next. Not to mention his influence on music itself. Many rap-hiphop artists would not have had the careers they had without the influence and the use of samples of James Brown.

That's the man who created funk. the godfather of soul. his music dna is in all RB and soul
James Brown you can play any of his music basically all of it is dance music. Love the godfather of soul.
Prince's dance moves were heavily influenced by James Brown. Also, Bobby Brown said that he wanted to be a performer after seeing James Brown in concert as a little kid and running up on stage with him. I recommend listening to the recorded version as well. You can hear even more of the funk and soul on there in my opinion.
James Brown is the GOAT!!!
Check out "Sex Machine " "I Got You (I Feel Good)" and "Living in America" by the Godfather of Soul/James Brown and greatest hits of Issac Hayes (Hot Buttered Soul album). 👍🏾
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!
There are few artists who are beyond the hall of fame and James is one of the few in another stratosphere. Such soul and funk. The JBs were so incredibly tight.
James Brown was not only pretty much the inventor of modern soul and funk but he was one of the most dynamic liver performers ever and an amazing band leader. Watch some of his other live stuff where he counts out to the band and has them turn on a dime to follow his lead.
Hi Twins, James Brown, The Godfather Of Soul also known as The Hardest Working Man In Show Business. Yes he can dance and influenced a lot of performers including Michael Jackson. And known as the inventor of Funk had a long career about 60 years or more.
The God Father Of Soul now you have to do the Ike & Tina Turner live performance on Soul Train “Proud Mary” 1972

James Brown 's band is a huge influence on many musicians. Check out 'Papa don't take no mess' make sure its the studio take. I think you'll both love the drum & bass groove.
🕺So rad! ANd Chubby Checkers!🕺
He didn’t say “good times”. He said “get down”. That was a popular phrase back in the day.
You need to watch Eddie Murphy in Saturday night live parody acts when he would do his imitation of James Brown. They were hysterical. 🤣 he’d do all the classic James brown dance moves.

Nice seeing you Fred.
He was 41 years old here by the way. This was in Zaire.

The Godfather of soul was famous for his dance moves. Michael Jackson looked up to him. When the Jackson five first auditioned for Motown when Michael was about 9, they sung a James Brown song, I Got the Feeling.
The (Godfather) of soul was such an influence, that one of his guitarists, would later heavily influence an era; And that guitarist would be (Bootsy Collins); yes,... "THEE" Bootsy Collins of da Funk-era...let that sink in for a min.
Glad u r back. Miss u guy's. Glad u r back to soul. Still suggesting Issac Hayes I stand accused.

This is not the best performance of James Brown's. Y'all should look at other stuff, This man was in a lane of his own. So many rappers sampled his music and did not compensate him. One of my all time favorites.
James Brown is the FOUNDATION of Soul, Funk and Hip Hop. In the mid 80’s, when the DJ at the club Plaza Suite in Brooklyn would play “Give It Up Or Turn It Loose” (which was already 15 years old then), we girls would just move to the side because the B-Boys would take over the floor and do their thing 🔥. If you react to it, you’ll hear that beat and know why 🔥🔥🔥
No one could understand what he was saying but he was quite the showman!
Get down with my woman, that ain't right... “I don't know karate, but I know ka razer!” yeah... Mr. Dynamite... I saw him live three times... Thanks
The Flames was his group before he went solo.
Yall gotta hear james brown- a blind man can see it.. the beat was crazy
Yes you should do some new edition.
🔥🔥🔥
You young bloods dont understand.... James Brown in his prime is what Prince aspired to be and came closest to. That brotha could sing, play and dance. Love the video and love your reactions.
James brown is known for throwing the mike stand down and catching it before it hits the floor.
James Brown invented Funk. Godfather Of Soul. Hardest workin man in show business. He literally gave 110% EVERY performance. NOBODY today or since can touch him. Michael Jackson is really the only other one who can be a comparison and without JB there would be no MJ.
James Brown is who Prince and Michael Jackson modeled their dancing styles after, especially Prince.
