Got my first stampede as an older bigfoot truck, I absolutely love it! Coda Racing shock towers, yeah racing shocks, rpm cambers, and of course brushless velineon upgrade 😆

Cool bro! Sounds like some Awesome upgrades!
Take the batter tie down off and take the posts off and get velcro and put it where the tie down goes and screw the posts back in with the velcro and u have a nice battery adjustable battery strap.. I also cut put the little bit near the servo so I can run longer packs.. the little plastic piece in front of the tie down.. Works perfect.. You tha best Nolan!! Keep the videos coming brother I watch em all!!! Ps: Keep your head up brother I know something amazing will come your way soon enough!!!

Thanks for the tips bro! I actually have the taller battery expansion kit coming soon so I’ll be putting that on when I receive it…..thank you for the kind words!
Hey Nolan glad to see you’re still making content! I have the same motor/ esc combo in a 2wd slash and it’s my favorite slash to run….. quick and drivable without breaking anything. My kind of car!

Thanks man! I’m definitely committed to bringing you guys consistent content! The Slash 2wd is such a fun car!
Good video. I am not sure about the metal axles because it transfers the risk of breakage futher down the line. I just purchased this vehicle and am going to do most of these upgrades. It is for my Son- In Law. He gave me his Summit and I wanted to get him something simple as he doesnt have the mechanical skills to repair the Summit. I gave that to him last summer. I have had to do a few major repairs on it since I gave it to him. I can tell he would rather have a basher.

Better then the darn screw type that just come loose all the time! I am pretty sure the e clips hinge pins are hardened more then the screw type also. I've rarely ever bent the e clip style but I bend the screw type constantly. To each thier own though!
I love those wheels. They look badass af yo 😍 🔥 😎 👌

Thanks! I totally agree!
For about a $100 more you get all hex screws, metal adjustable links, better transmission, better servo, better radio, full bearings, etc, etc, etc. Plus you get an esc + motor worth over $150. Not sure why people buy xl5s.

I agree the vxl is a much better value…..I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure the transmission and the servo are identical on both the vxl and xl5…..unless they started putting the the 272 Magnum R in the Stampede 2wd Vxl?…..but just for the power system, links, hex screws, bearings and TQI radio alone…..it’s well worth it…..that’s not really why I do these projects though…..I just like starting off with the base model and building it up…..not much point in a build if I started with the vxl model lol

@@RCKnockout The vxl servo is the 2075 digital and it comes with the upgraded $140 drag slash transmission as well as a motor protector and wheelie bar.

@@RCKnockout There's still upgrades you can do to the vxl. It's just that can't beat all the stuff it comes with for price.

@@truerc you’re right…..I was thinking mine came with the 2075, mine actually came with the 2056…..it’s destroyed though……so it’s already been replaced with a metal gear one

I think I got them on EBay
Those driveshafts are junk. They will rust. I had them in my slash 4x4 that I bought used, I had to throw them in the garbage and buy original Traxxas heavy duty plastic. Front driveshafts would not let wheels turn
@RCKnockout

I’ve run these same driveshafts on my Slash 4x4 and they’ve worked very well…..I did end up breaking one on 4s but I landed kinda funny on a rear wheel….aside from that they’ve been great….I highly recommend them for budget driveshafts…..if I thought they were junk….I would have never put them on my machine to begin with….sorry for your experience…but that’s my two cents
Where you located at? Can you do some work for me on my rc if I were to pay you for the work please? 🤔😍

I’d say one of the most important things to master is how to service and upgrade your own machine….it’s not super difficult….and it’s definitely key….cause stuff is gonna break when you Bash your machine
