If I could make a suggestion perhaps you could do a collage of this rail line from the last NS leaving and the start of the CCET operations and the motive power it has used through the years. As a bonus, if you have it, throw in the steam locomotive 611 I'm sure that your fans would appriciate that

I love watching “Geeps” in action and their red livery really stands out against the beautiful countryside. As always thank you for your excellent historical, fact and memory filled commentary-loved it. Please be safe. My Akita just chased a large snake out of our backyard into our neighbors yard where it was killed by their three dogs. I live east of San Diego, CA and we are seeing more rattlesnakes and copperheads this summer.

Thank you, Jaw Tooth, for taking us on this chase of the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad's local pulling the rock/tie train on its way west as it makes its way up the Williamsburg Hill. The engines were working hard at Summit Road. The story about the closing of the Linsey Road crossing in Mt. Orab, Ohio was an interesting anecdote to this video. The Mt. Orab, Ohio depot and the caboose that is on display by the depot both look like they could both use some TLC. (Posted 2 July 2024 at 1445 CDT.)

There are several fantastic videos that show what it was like when the Cavalier and the Powhatan Arrow regularly traversed the Peavine between Norfolk and Cincinnati!

The Level Crossing at Garfield Ave. here in Bellefontaine, OH...is the highest point on the Big 4's Indy sub...which is where the old YMCA used to be...Crew changes were done there, as well...and the crews stayed at the "Y"...crossing is about a block from my house...and somedays they will make the house shake....

Hey, Jaw Tooth! Good video! I enjoyed the sound of those engines working flat out in Run 8! There were three or four hoppers in the train that looked like the railroad is going to have to set them aside as bad ordered. They were starting to look as bad as some of those in in Eastwood siding!

Hey jaw tooth awesome train. Your train would be labeled local job. As it stops in towns to switch various customers. Drivers should learn stop look and listen at unguarded crossings so don't get hit by trains. Have a great railroad day. 🚂🙋‍♀️

CCDET. Big enough to serve you small enough to know you. Up and down those.hills and around those curves especially the sharp one near the old Depot site you realize that while it is no longer a main line it still is a major connection for small towns shipping bulk items. JT perhaps after the foliage goes away for the season perhaps you could show us where those old Spurs went to in Batavia and what' they served back in the day. While I'm sure you're enjoying your trip to follow steam power you enjoy going back to the old Hometown Favorites like CCET

Those rock cars on the siding are really in bad shape. Center door almost sitting on the track on a couple of them. I wonder if it is rot or they were over loaded?

Another great video JT but I don’t see how I train stays on that track because of all of those rotten ties. I don’t think I’ve seen a good tie on that track in any place that you have filmed. It seemed like the rail would just fall over but anyway my friend you stay safe out there and try to stay cool and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one.
