Yeah these kids need to be wearing life jackets for damn sure. In fact, i'm rather shocked more people are ticketed down in Florida for this one thing alone. I can't begin to tell you how many videos i've watched on this channel. Of folks holding babies without life jackets on them in big surf. Or kids in smaller bow riders getting flooded after the boat "sips and dips" after a few large swells. Put jackets on your kids folks...(g)

It's like watching a car accident in slow motion. Kids and babies without life preservers on. Stupid parents holding babies in their laps in front. And captains just plows on thru thinking an accident won't happen to his boat or anyone else in his boat .... Like his family. Notice most idiots are male captains. What's up with that fact? Then add in alcohol consumption. What could go wrong?

3:29 Instead of brute forcing through the waves like a landlubber, he holds for the break and then, throttles forward, reads the next, holds, waits for the break and then throttles forward. Riding the waves helps conserve fuel, reduce wear and tear on the boat, and provide a more comfortable ride. Majority of people just buy boats and never get training to learn how to operate them correctly or skillfully. I suspect a boat hull can only take so much of fatigue before it develops cracks.

That large Cat did better than i would have thought. The waves sort of went under the middle of the boat. So they were dispersed better when they hit the bow. Still not a boat i'd be taking out in conditions like this it's just not made for it. I still feel Viking makes the best boats for these types of rough conditions. Those boats plow through this stuff with their wide bows like bulldozers.

Perhaps a local investigative reporter would like to do an expose on "The latest wave of child endangerment by affluent and entitled parents"? (I use this A&E phrasing because I've noticed that the less expensive the boat going through Haulover, the higher the chance the kids have vests on.) Start a petition for applied enforcement, perhaps? I would think that if a few thousand people sign a document saying "we're tired of seeing kids at risk in these turbulent waters, start ticketing" the CG and local LE might feel compelled to do something.

The entitled cause much of the soft tissue damage to kids. But keep operating the boat that way, it's fine. Everything will be okay....

Because it’s really rough out, all the ride outside of the inlet will be compensating for the conditions. Waste of fuel, you can’t cruise and relax on the boat ( passengers, not the captain) fishing would be difficult, every food or drink would be dumped onto the boat. The boat is just going to be pounded on. Head in, tie up, clean up and check for anything loose or cracked or pulled etc. Every day on the water can be a good day but, not every day on the water will be a good day.

I'm for our rights as an American more than most people let's just put it that way but I'm going to say this I could stop the drownings in this dangerous inlet outlet whatever the hell you call it 100%. From this day forward every person that is on a craft in this waterway shall have a life vest on their person at all times❗ lots of revenue will be gained the first few weeks the charge will be $1,000 per boater that has no 🦺. I remember seeing that guy drowning on this channel I believe a couple of months ago former lifeguard I've never swam in the ocean but being drowned proof is one thing. this person was flailing in the water and nobody went to help him until it was way too late this doesn't need to happen get smart Florida pass a bill that requires all boaters in this dangerous inlet to have on PPE 🦺 Trump24 🇺🇲 Trump48 🇺🇲
