What the hell is going on with these #hasbro figures? Better in a lot of ways but too often now they're just kicking them out in the bare plastic? Are they going broke? Is that why the prices get higher and they can't seem to find any paint? Let's take a quick look at the new Model 1 Mark 1 Iron Man compared to the Marvel Universe version from 10 years ago.

I think the 60's classic armor is supposed to use a metal mesh for the limbs. I remember reading that about a year ago in an old Avengers issue.

Yeah that sounds right. I was just poking fun at their pseudoscientific explanations from back then. I think it had like "knitted motors" and such inside. They sure were creative, back then. Thanks for jumping in there! I appreciate the dialogue. 👌🤙

I mean the tooling and the articulation is dope, but come on. I guess I'm a sucker, anyway 🤣🤣
Great take. I also thought it'd be bigger since it's a few bucks more than a regular Marvel Legends with no BAF piece. I agree, it's a well made figure overall, but definitely feels like it's lacking. It needs paint and should be at least the size of 80th anniversary Thor.

Yeah, they got so close! I'm just like, why come this far and not go the extra 5 or 10%? We know these guys can nail it, but I'm trying to make sure I'm holding their feet to the fire a little bit if they're short-changing us. The paint thing is blatant. It looks really really shiny at a distance on a shelf, but this isn't the Ultron robot. It's maybe not supposed to be that shiny, anyway. But the size thing is a little more devious. I was thinking, there is probably a plastic budget for like a whole wave or a deluxe or whatever they're calling this thing, you know? Like down to the milliliter, probably. 🙃
