Interesting how in this lighting setup the blues & yellows on each of them look a lot closer tone-wise... Also: Glad you mentioned Daredevil since that younger head from the 3-pack makes a great comic Matt Murdock if you repaint his hair red (even fits on the NWH body really well)! Bonus points for RAIDing Ant-Man & Wasp, btw

The ending had me dying lol I'm low-key mad I didn't get the VHS Cyclops but I just ordered the new X-Men 97 Cyclops and I have the first one with the orange tint instead of the yellow.

Since you said Conan O’Brain, I can now not unsee it. 😆

Funny, because I really don't like the bright yellow. I think the darker yellow looks way better.

I ended up putting the Morph jacket and arms on the VHS body. And the 97 heads head swapped based on the day. I really need them to release more headsculpts without the visor. Great video!

As soon as you hit that second headswap, "Ah, shit." 😂😂😂 I had the same thought going in that the best of both worlds would be our winner.

Bomber jacket is my fav. His skin tone is best. The visor has a hint of being metalic. The hair sculpt is best. Ok, so he might not be able to touch his visor with his fingers, but guess what, that's not actually required for him to execute.

He is dope.

Cyclops powers denote that his upper body and neck should be thicker and bigger. He shoots concussive beams from his eyes. He needs extra muscle to brace his neck and back for stabilizing his spine and posture so he dosent fly back from his own beams. Make cyclops husky like in the comics toy companys. Do it right Toy companys.

Nice cyclops comparison! My fav headsculpt was the first one Jim Lee cyclops they did on bucky cap, also 4:51 both heads were from 3 pack love triangle. The daredevil one had a different head of its own.

I'm probably going to buy a custom head and effect parts for the new one. I'm new to collecting and Cyclops was a must for me. So glad I bought him.

Let's see, price, availability, presentation, accessories?? Easily the 97 wins. Not impossible to find. Normal price. Plastic retro packaging. Extra headsculpt, energy blast effect, 3 alternate hands.. it's a no brainer. I love them all but the answer is clear

@@Worldbreakerkou @Worldbreakerkou I mean it's subjective kinda. It perfectly represents the 97 Cyclops so I think people who love the show will appreciate it. The VHS has this thing were the visor is pinched in a lot of figures and makes it look bad. Though if you got one of the figures that don't have that detail then yeah the head is superior. Ultimately for me the math is mathing on the 97 side 😅 awesome review man

Didn’t even watch the video all the way but the VHS Cyclops is the best The Vulcan body with its headsculpt are too good too beat. Especially when it’s only drawback is the cell shading / visor The 97 Cyclops is obviously in second place. Cyclops but it’s primary head sculpt really kills the figure If anyone who is a fan of Cyclops my biggest advice is to get the Mafex. It has great headsculpts, paint, and it has swappable visors so you can use the grimacing headsculpt without the effects

Got the new 97 its good, at first i liked the vhs but now all i can see is conan o Brian lol maybe the older head with brown hair is the best head

For me, personally, the '97 Cyclops is my favorite. I like the younger looking face and the gold visor. The optic blast really adds to it. The VHS is a close second.

97 wave is easily the best. Cell shading is horrible, and a slightly better headsculpt is not enough warrant to say its a better figure imo. The optic blast headsculpt is top notch too so easily the 97
