Probably until they learn the language! I am with my husband since Karine and Paul are together and we do the same as they do using phone. Can’t be fluent that fast. For sure behind of cameras they have their own way of communication and not using phone all the time.

U lame af. I dated a girl right after she moved to the states from venezuela and we used google translate all the time. I know some Spanish but not the kind she spoke. You get better over time and if you really like the person then trust me, you wont care what you have to do to talk to them. But to your point, not being able to watch movies together was kinda shitty. Even with subtitles one person always gets the raw end of the deal

Bits and pieces of Spanish are the same/similar to Portuguese and same for Portuguese. If you speak either language you could understand half the things on a tv show in the other language
