It's normal in some countries to live with your parents until you found a partner ;) Not in the US though. It is common in Italy. At least among adult men. I don't really see anything wrong with it as long as you have your own life, job and not depend on your parents like pampered Colteee. Share a bank account with your mom when you are over 30 is a big no.

Christen Gardner she simply know that her son is a looser and that this girl is his only chance to get him laid and get ride of him. Larissa came from a third world country, so the mother probably assumed that she will be thankful toward her son for brining her in the us , and be a traditional submissive housewife for him, and take care of her son the same way she did, that’s why she wanted her to stay! Not to mention that Larissa is in her thirties, so believe it or no, but unlike a young girl who’s in her twenties a 31 years old Brazilian woman will be less likely to leave after she get her green card. First of all, he didn’t bring her flowers or anything on the day they met in the US, he probably lured her in that he has money without directly saying it cause he can just say he lives in Las Vegas, he still lives with his mom which indicates he’s not responsible at all, him and his mom still share the same bank account which should’ve ended about 15-20 years ago, he complimented another woman right in front of Larissa’s eyes on a date. Larissa is way out of his league, not because of her looks but because you can clearly tell she wants wealth. Their basic lifestyle is too different.
