The 989 was powered by a Deutz 400hp engine while the 1089 had a 444hp Scania power plant

@@tractorbarnproductions6830 most likely V8 because scanias of the 350-450 and now770 range have always had V8 and the twin pipes exiting from the engine bay suggests that. As welll as the sound of them.

The 989 was powered by a Deutz TCD 2015V06 while the 1089 had Scania DC13077

@@cidertom5140 The 1089 was the first to be fitted with it out of the pea viners, and probably the first agricultural machine I wouldnt be surprised!
