Hartsop Valley Solo Wildcamp - Nature Hike Cloud Up 1

3rd outing this year, but the 1st video. Trying out some new swag, a first for this location, only one route into the valley, plenty tent waffle (sorry) and how many times do I say erm. Good to be out again.

Nice video, it's always fun to try out new toys so thanks for sharing. I'm considering this tent, may I ask how tall you are? I'm 6'2 and have had a rough time with ultralight tents. Let me recommend the Thermarest compressible travel pillow. If you haven't tried it yet please do, you'll not look back.

Hi there, hope your well, i'm 5,11, the sleeping area length is 84 inches, I had my head at the door end as it does narrow toward the feet end. I had plenty of room and an delighted with the tent, I was out last weekend in a storm an it was fine. Perhaps the cloud up 2 may suit better, thanks for watching, take care, atb

@@bibb0934 Is the tent in this video simply poorly pitched then, would you say? I'm wondering about taking a punt on one of these, but based on this video, it looks loose and wafty.

@@bibb0934 I'm glad you like it! I tend to avoid tents that use some sort of a non-standard/proprietary structure, like that "T" piece where the poles meet. It would be very difficult to replace or fix if broken or lost. On the other hand, standard poles can be bought virtually anywhere if you break one.
