i'm 11 yrs old and this music makes me feel so nostalgic, i remember my grandma who died on jan 13 2022 and it brings back so many memories abt me and her going to nearest fastfood in our place, and she would buy me some dresses from thrift stores, and i didn't notice that at a young age of 9-10 yrs old i would lose my beloved grandma and that line "you know it's not the same as it was" hits so hard, i just realized after listening to this song that i changed so much after loosing my grandma and made me realize that it gave me motivation now i'm at the top 3 of our class. it made me so happy and sad at the same time, but please it's hits hard when you lose your beloved ones, i even wish that i get to spend time with my grandma and cherish her love and warm kisses and hugs i would love to go back time just to see her happy and peaceful but.. atleast i experienced a loving caring grandma in my childhood. i would be pretty proud in the future to tell my kids my experiences with her..

This song played on the radio every time I drove my mom back and forth to see my dad in the hospital. He was 92 and dying 😢. The lyrics “You know it’s not the same, it’s just us”, gave me the chills thinking of my brother,mom and I living without him.

This song relates to me so much. My childhood before I was depressed and before all the trauma I’ve been through.

"your daddy lives by himself" "he just wants to know that you're well" I literally never felt my heart in my throat but these words cut so deep. It's upsetting that I rarely see my dad, but I never thought about it from his perspective. Alone in a house, in a cycle of sleep and labor and every night it's the same. No one there to greet him. No man is happy alone, yet he always tells me the only happiness he needs is knowing me and my sister are okay :( Edit: Thanks for all the empathy ygs are showing in my replies. I love my dad very much, but the reason I don't see him often is because he lives 2 hours away and only has Tuesday's off. Enjoy whomever you have in your life and always remember that you're lucky to have them

When I was going through basic training our drill sergeants gave us a radio around week 15 and it was the best thing we got in awhile. Yeah. This song feels very real life. Things happen with or without our input that changes everything. The hard part is to stop focusing on event or person who changed your circumstances and instead focus on how you are going to move forward beneficially. I spent the last 14 yrs mourning my sister. It wasn't until this yr I realized I had cried my way through the end of my 30s & all my 40s. Such a shame. Time to live now. This song really hits home to me with its sadness, yet hope in its jaunty tune. Blessings to you.

My dad died of cancer two weeks ago exactly. I know this song is about ex's but the main chorus of this song hits so hard. The nostalgic feeling that this song brings hurts so much. It's not the same as it was. It's not the same without you, Dad. My family was told we'd have at least another two weeks after he was discharged from the hospital. He died 2 days after coming home. Cherish the time with your loved ones while you can, everyone.

Whenever I listen to this song it feels like I’m driving in a car with another person while watching the sunset. Doesn’t matter who that person is to be honest, it’s just me and that person against the whole world.. it’s like we are in our own world! There’s a rush of nostalgia.. as if we are remembering the “good old times”… how things used to be. It’s just a warm yet.. bittersweet feeling. Haha sorry, it’s hard to describe it properly! To anyone who’s reminiscing about the past.. just remember, try to find happiness in the present, rather than believing that life can never be as good as it was, since with that kind of mindset it really won’t be! This just gives a sense of nostalgia in a bittersweet way. Like you WANT to experience that time again, but knowing it's not there anymore means that you only have memories and stories to use as a way to keep that little area of your brain alive and well. My childhood was definitely a "It's not the same as it was" moment.

I’m happy to see more people appreciating Harry’s voice and music. It’s been this great since 2014. I saw 1D in Seattle for their take me home tour in July and still remember locking eyes with him and losing my thought. Literally just stopped singing/screaming, he’s a breath taker for sure.

I don’t understand why so many people claim to have not liked him! For what? I’m 36 and I always liked him from his early days on X factor! Not in a creepy way lol.
