that is very strange, and definitely wrong since the adult versions are either one color for the paperback or black and white for the hardback so these can't possibly be adult versions as well, because both are available at the same time from bloomsbury (they were released in 2013 and 2015 respectively, while this one is from 2014) these are usually not named as Children's edition, just "normal" or something But they are definitely more like the original children editions than the original adult edition... there is a distinct difference between the two version and since one of them is called adult... this one can be called children's edition (please don't misunderstand the use of .... that is my habit i use that a lot, it just maks a break lol)

No, there is a Hardback version of these with the same covers (but dust jackets). You're thinking of the Adult Edition with both Hardback and Paperback also. The Children's Edition and the Adult Editions are different.

I think someone who hasn't read the books won't get the spoilers. Since they don't know what is going on on the covers. We know they're spoilers, because we know the scenes that are depicted.

I know what you mean, but these can be a problem while reading the books for the first time. Imagine chamber of secrets, they wonder for so long what is the beast in the chamber... while if you look at the cover... ohh a snake ha ha

I have first two books and I didn't get spoiled before reading them.. the second I read the way they were crossing the lake, I found out that's what cover shows too 😄

I like the font for this too! These are fun covers but man you are not wrong about spoilers lol

The only problem with the children's paper back editions is that they struggled to go back into the box after I took them out. In fact they never went back in! The hardback is much better! Slip covers and better artwork on the box in my opinion. But I am glad you loved yours 🤗

Yea.. For adults complaining the cover spoiler-wise remember that this edition is targeting the children. Naturally they think simpler and we parents expect kids to find a book with interesting cover like "woaaah dragon, big snake, glowing deer" and proceed to read.

The Cover of this books are so beautiful. I couldn't Rank the covers but i think one of my favorit IS Part 3 and 6

im so glad that some people had dented and has a non perfect covers. because mine is a bit damage and it came 3 days ago

I got one too but it was missing The Philosopher's Stone one It arrived later though

I wish they put the tiny illustrations in the chapter pages Inside the book.

Those aren’t spoilers in any way. There’s no way I can guess what happens in the next five books based on those covers. I’m about to start book 3.

spoilers for the book itself, most of CoS is about not knowing what kind of beast hides in the chamber.... but then you look at the cover "Oh~" OoP is also a pretty big spoiler after you read a few chapters it gives away something from the end

you are right, most of the books' cover is teeming with spoilers, one more reason why I don't like the children edition

That's really strange. I got this exact set last week, and mine is wrapped in plastic. Thus preventing any damage to the books or the box. I wonder why they didn't do that with yours?

Twisha Dasgupta no there is NO difference. They decided to make an adult version so the adults didnt feel like they read a children book. The conten is 100% the same.

harrypotter and the prisoner of azkaban book cover is the beatiful

i am soooo late.. but how's the paper quality of these? I've had some bad experiences with paperback boxsets, because they are rather cheap (in comparison to buying all books separately). I would want to buy either these or the same version but hardcover.. Hope you can help me! ♥️

Unfortunately i can't really tell, since i never open these paperback boxsets, so they could have bad quality i wouldn't be able to tell, sorry. But that's for sure that hardbacks probably have better quality, they cost more too

Do you guys know why the adult´s version has more pages than the children´s version? I want to purchase the children´s version because the covers are really nice but then I noticed that it has about 400 pages less than the adult's version (both Bloomsbury edition) ...

the adult ones have smaller writing and the childrens books have slightly larger writing. also the cover art work is different, the adults tend to have less kid like art work on the cover page. but as for the story its the same.

Prantik Pramanick maybe because you damaged the books. I try to to wet it or damage the pages when I read so it can fit after. It’s paperback so it’s obviously more fragile

I got the same set, but mine came damaged. The box was ripped apart on the corner and the 7th book got wrinkles on it's front cover on the top right corner because of the box. Although I believe that was my mistake, for ordering it from Amazon instead of the Bloomsbury official site. Overall the books are great :)

This costed me 1600 INR

I actually just bought the box of this because it was on sale… I have to say, but I think it is really cheaply made. The font is almost impossible to read, as you mentioned the stickiness of the covers is terribly unpleasant… And the pages cheap. I immediately sold it online, and bought the US hardcover boxset. It is AMAZING. Great font. Great covers, bonding, everything. There’s a real care and love put into them. As for the UK edition - it’s just so cheap. Really gross.

i didn't message them so of course they didn't offer anything. so what if they send me a new one? 1. it also gets damaged most likely 2. if i get the new one, what do i do with the old one? it's just way too much trouble this box set is just too heavy for them to ship it safely, they are just not used to it it's too complicated to explain them what is the problem not to mention the shipping is cheap, ridiculously cheap, so if i message them, they might raise the shipping price, which is not good for me in the long run

You should've complained. I once bought the lord of the rings series and it was even more damaged than yours when it came, but I complained and got a new nonedamaged one (boxset). Since then I always write, that I'll sent the books back, if the books look like they've already been used, which is bad business for them.

but the thing is, if they send me a new one it ALSO gets damaged, they package the box set in a box like 3 or 4 times bigger than the box set, side ways, so it moves around a LOT, they don't use bubble wrap, but some kind of puffy paper thing? which probably works for 3-5 books, but not for a heavy box set like this when i ordered only separate books they all arived safely but even when i ordered a hard back box set that also got damaged, but it's not that obvious because the box was made of really hard paper and if i get a new one, what can i do with this one? that is my problem haha i can't possibly pay for shipping for something this heavy... it would be cheaper to go by car to the UK pretty much xD
