Nah it’s okay to be a reader and prefer certain formats. There’s no rule that says otherwise 😊

That edition was not widely sold here in the Philippines but I was determined to own one. After months of searching I was finally able to get a box but paid so much more than I should've. I remembered shedding a tear as I looked at each book cover cause they were just too damn beautiful! Money well spent indeed!

I keep them in the box right now but when I first got it, I took one book out to display it.

The set is awesome. But still cannot decide between paperback and hardcover versions. All in all, I think I prefer hardcover books more because I guess they are easier to read since it's a little bit harder to open paperbacks widely. And what about quality of paper, is it better in hardbacks?

The quality of paper is the same for both sets. I just prefer hardbacks to paperbacks. One thing that bugs me about paperbacks is that the cover bends slightly and never sits flat anymore after being repeatedly opened. I don’t know if that would bug you since the book would technically be in the box whenever you’re not reading the book but it would bug me. If that’s something that does not bother you then go for the paperback since it’s much cheaper. But keep in mind, the box is not the same for the paperbacks and I really like the box that the hardbacks come in.

I find the series gets better with each book but also darker and more mature. Hope you enjoy them once you do get to read them.

I have the paperback box of this edition :) The hardcovers are more beautiful than the paperbacks, but I don't like that the Hardcover-Boxset has to be closed if you want to put it in your shelve. :D and I liked the design on the paperback set better :D Did you check out the last pages in the books? There are some special information in mine :)

The doors are pretty sturdy. I think it's reinforced cardboard. The edge of the doors have magnets inside so that the doors stay closed. I do believe eventually the "hinges" will wear out but unless you are pulling on the doors, I don't think you have anything to worry about because in my opinion, it seems pretty sturdy and strong.

So the books are really good quality but they don’t stay open easily. However I still find them comfortable to read. You just have to use both hands to make sure the book stays open while you read

Hi! Sorry I took so long to respond! The pages are sawn and they are very good quality. It is definitely worth the price. However the book does not lay flat when you read it. You have to hold the book open with both hands to read. Hope that helps.

+First Name these are not special sized. They are the standard hardback size so the same height as the divergent books or the hunger games books.

I'm super late on this set, but I decided to get one for myself. They just look too amazing. Got it for $147 and I thought that was a great price, but compared to $110!?!? I almost feel cheated Lol still happy I got one though.

Yeah, the HP series is considered middle grade or children fiction mostly because the characters start out so young but I definitely wouldn’t let that deter you from reading. I first read the books when I was about 20 and I loved the series from the beginning. You can enjoy the series and learn from it even as an adult. I really hope you enjoy it!

mrbrianroche they are actually labeled like because of the cover art I believe, bloomsburry has one without the artwork on the front like that which is called the "adult edition" (they have more of a "mature" look to them). I like these 'children edition' ones more though. :')

+james seeker well the goblet of fire is the 4th book in the series and the order of the Phoenix is the 5th book. If you have already read books 1-3 then the next book you need is the goblet of fire.
