All Of The Harry Potter Professor's Bloopers
Ойын-сауық
Harry Potter is full of quirky characters just a stone's throw away from the main cast. While Harry, Ron and Hermione are all charming in their own way, today we thought we’d look at some underappreciated characters in the stories. The professors. The professors are all freaking amazing characters and the actors behind them are hilarious geniuses. Emma Thompson gave one of the most amazing improvised bits in all of improv history while Professor Umbridge was speaking. And Umbridge behind the scenes is played by one goofy Imelda Staunton who’s best buds with Maggie Smith. The two together are a charming pair. Maggie once threatened to whack a student with a scroll. Of course, she didn’t mean it but it was funny. Maggie’s Professor McGonagall taught Ron to dance and Rupert insisted nobody ever breathe a word of the situation. Once, he doodled a picture of Alan Rickman and Rickman’s response might surprise you since we’re all so used to serious Severus Snape. He was such a genuine and kind guy who loved to laugh, especially with Michael Gambon. Michael and Alan played the most amazing prank on Daniel Radcliffe once. And once, while Radcliffe was hanging out in the side-car of Hagrid’s motorcycle, Robbie Coltrane started goofing around and made everyone on set giggle. Coltrane also celebrated over the thousandth take of a scene and somebody has yet to tell him that’s not a good thing. Warwick Davis went crowd surfing but that wasn’t the original plan. Richard Harris might have mistaken one of the animatronics for a real animal and the other Dumbledore had a knack for making Radcliffe laugh. While Miriam Margolyes, aka Professor Sprout, traumatized him.

I'm not sure about Richard Harris being "too gentle for this world", he was more than a bit of a hell-raiser and a fair drinker, but he was a superb actor and an absolute triumph as Dumbledore. Much as I like Michael Gambon I often compare Richard Harris' calm, quiet, delivery to that of his successor and doubt he would ever have needed to raise his voice - he had the presence to make the character one of those people whom most would never want to disappoint, which is more effective. I wonder if really thought Fawkes was real (which seems unlikely) though or if he was just playing with the crew but, either way, I think the way the animators responded to the interaction was really sweet and if he genuinely didn't know then I'm glad he went to his grave without being let down by finding the truth. It would have been like discovering there is no Father Christmas.

I never expected Robbie Coltrane and Daniel Radcliffe actually got airtime on the motorcycle, that was cool to see lol
Really liked all the bloopers in the Harry Potter scenes
The thought that they're _already_ prepping the remake series is absurd. Were there scenes and subplots cut? Sure, but with the exception of Dumbledore's funeral (I will never forgive David Yates for _that_ omission), I say the original films did an excellent job of trimming what could be trimmed. Did _anyone_ really feel cheated out of SPEW? Secondly, when agreeing to the initial films, Jo Rowling insisted upon a contractual clause that required the British roles be played by British actors. By the end of the eight films, the franchise had employed almost every notable British actor that was willing to be involved (I'm looking at you, Ms. Swinton). More importantly, how are they ever going to replace Alan Rickman as Snape? Maggie Smith as McGonagall? The late, great Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid?! These actors _defined_ their characters. Lastly, it's been well-established that the television medium is of infinitely higher quality today than twenty years ago, but what kind of a budget would this series require for the fans to overlook the adaptations still fresh in our minds? The visual effects of the films were incredible. Is this _really_ something an episodic television production can top or even merely live up to? In all, this just reeks of a poorly-conceived money grab. In a worst-case scenario, the show pales in comparison to the films and the fans give up watching it halfway through the first season. Would the series be able to churn out the rest of the seven seasons all the way to _Deathly Hallows_ or would there merely be a failed production of _Philosopher's Stone_ that will sit gathering dust as an embarrassment of failed concept? If the show doesn't hold our attention, would the financial losses be so great that it could derail any other _Harry Potter_ features for the foreseeable future? It's all too possible and that's something they _really_ need to ask themselves. The original _Harry Potter_ films will stand the test of time. If you were a child - the core demographic - you had the truly magical experience of growing up alongside the kids in the films. If you were an adult, watching those same teenagers grow into magnificently talented young actors was emotional when we reached the end. Yes, the films have their flaws, primarily with continuity when a new director would step in and change the look and tone of the movies from those that came before it. But even then, the changes were generally embraced as the source material itself grew darker. That Hogwarts and Hagrid's hut looked so different in Cuaron's _Azkaban_ was easily to overlook because the film is arguably the masterpiece of the series. Could a series _really_ accomplish that kind of a miracle and maintain it over _seven seasons?_ They have an impossibly tall order. It would dwarf even Madame Maxime.

The fact I actually read all this is 👏👏👏. But yes literally how can you remake something as big and as succesful as these movies. It's like remaking star wars or lord of the rings. You can't do it and you're setting yourselves up to fail. I really don't understand this at all and it's clear JKR does not know what to do with this series anymore therefore she'll accept anything etc cursed child. The films overall hold up to this day and is still constantly replayed on TV, not to mention it left a mark on the filmmaking industry. It's completely uneccasary on the new kids to go through what this cast went through and it's a waste of time and money for them to attempt. The series as a whole needs to be put to rest and left alone for the future gen as it's slowly eating itself away and ruining a legacy.
I replayed this so many times JUST to see Sev smile
Its just heart warming if you hear that they moved the pheonix to keep the impression that it is alive❤
Thank you for sharing, I love blooper videos!
