I HAVE BEEN A PHILLIES FAN FOR 57 YEARS AND HARRY KALAS WILL ALWAYS BE A BIG PART OF MY LIFE. GOD BLESS HARRY AND GOD BLESS THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES.

He's been gone for a little over twelve years but it feels like yesterday when I heard the horrible news of his sudden passing on Philly sports radio...my heart and millions of others sank that day. He and and his dear friend Richie Ashburn(Whitey) were beloved like no others in the town's history. I remember crying like a baby during his funeral ceremony at Citizens Bank Park. We still love ya, Harry the K!

It's amazing to me that when Harry started with the Phillies, one of his partners was By Saam, himself a future HOF'er. How fortunate were us Philly fans to have two such great announcers call our home team's games.

I never got a chance to hear, by Ssam. But my grandfather who passed away in 2018 knew who he was and he listened and watched the Phillies his whole life and he said Harry kalas was the best ever Phillies broadcaster. Hands down. Second was Whitey Ashburn

Harry the K was named Pennsylvania Broadcaster of the Year 17 times, for the entire Commonwealth, not just the city of Philadelphia as stated in the video.

I didn't really think about it until you mentioned it but yeah why is Seaver introducing him.... It would have been Whitey if he were still alive. Did Harry introduce Whitey when he went in the Hall in 1995?
