I LOVE what you did here Smiley, teaching all of us kids about nature at a young age, instilling a lifelong love of, respect and stewardship for the land and for that we are eternally grateful. I was fortunate enough to have grown up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and have a grandpa that instilled that same love of the land in me, but your show certainly helped to reinforce that.. Stephen, thank you so much. I was looking for Uncle Smiley on youtube for the longest time. And I found a series of them in your channel. It brings back the good old days when I was a kid-happy memories. Songs such as “Going Camping” are still in my head after all these years. Thank you. All the best.

I'll not forget you Uncle Smiley and I sure wish my children and grandchildren could see you as I did. But I hope these touch them as much as you did me. Yeap I'm 52 it's been awhile but you know what? I still have the same emotions of goodness, happiness bubbling inside I have a big smile as I'm texting now. Fantastic feeling. Pure, honest clean bet not many can say they have lived with these inside their entire life.Well I did Praise God

and because of that "Uncle Smiley" and shows like that can no longer air today because the concept of a middle-age single man around a bunch of kids is awkward and inappropriate

@@lakebay972 this show never "aired" to begin with. They were 16mm film reels that were shown in classrooms. And the fact that this is the first thing you thought of says alot about you

When I was in grade 2 my teacher used to occasionally bring in the film projector and turn out the lights and play these episodes. The entire class would cheer 'Uncle Smiley'. Seeing these again is a trip. ;)
