HARRIS HAWK WOODY A VERSATILE HUNTER

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

WARNING, HAWKS HUNTING FOOD NATURALLY.
Out hunting with and for Woody the Harris hawk.
This is a few das highlights of the week, unfortunately Beau my GWP catches a rabbit, this I really don’t encourage, should remain pointing, then he picks up a Woodcock what’s going on with him.
All in all a good week’s hunting.

Reality hawking at its best, really brings out the time and effort you put in. Also like the way you bring Woody into the house to chill out with dogs and family. Look forward to these videos every Friday night they are full of gems for new and experienced falconers alike.

Amazing to see woody soaring, my female HH hasn’t mastered that skill yet, although she did take her first ever hare last week that was around 3.2kg! She’s never even caught a rabbit so I was surprised to say the Least. Great video, inspiring as always.

Hi Pete, another excellent video. That was crazy Beau had that woodcock in his mouth and it was still alive!! I was shocked when it flew away lol. Very sportsmanlike to let the rabbit go. Nice to see Woody soaring around, so very cool :)

@@freebirdofreason1994 Thank you for the reply - , Falconry is a Art 🎨 the basics of Falconry are the same , but from the Basic it goes in different styles ,some might vary little ,and some are unique - . At this point , time to tell you I like your style - and your Pupils are a reflection of you , watching your Team and you work together is a pleasure and like you said will only get better as Hawk and Dog get more in tune . Just a little about me , so you know my praise does not come from nothing, . 1978 - failed Falconers test in Bavaria - test given by Josef Hiebler - 13 years old, know it all 🤔 and to young , that's why I failed my test . Me and Hiebler laughed about that 10 years later, when he came for a visit to Castle Gutenberg , I was working there as Falconer, for one Flight season. Hiebler brought Mr Hollingshead from Britain with him , since my English &German was fluent I dit the translation s for some interesting conversations . Claus Fenceloff was the Boss and yes I picked up a few things from him , but it was Lothar Askani I learned the most from , especially with the Eagles training and Tricks 😉, Returning to Canada , I got to know Frank Beebe very well and picked up more knowledge, and a letter ✉️ ( resume)from Frank about my Skills as Falconer ,was not easy to convince Frank to do so , 😂. I have not practiced Falconry for some time now , but thinking of Getting seasonal Work with a Falconry , now close to 60 - it would make a nice retirement job - ? 🤔 Bird abatement in a Orchard, and maybe some versatile Pointer training. Long comment 😂 to long - I be watching you from my Perch on Vancouver Island . All The best ,and safe Flights .

@@mrkus-nc7od wow that’s incredible, certainly not to long a comment, I do enjoy hearing from other falconers. Sounds like you have had a interesting life so far. You must have a wealth of knowledge and certainly crossed paths with some well known falconers, I have several books written be Mr Hollingsworth I’m very encouraged by your comments . I wish you well and really hope you end up with your dreams in falconry. Thank you again Top and lovely encouragement, please let me know how you get on with the next step in your falconry career.
