This video and its literacy-sources based on studies are the proof to anyone who said that "depression isn't related to Iman". If our salah, pray and ibadah doesn't make us feel calm and peaceful during stress periode, then it must be something wrong with our salah. May Allah always guide us to a better way.

I'm crying while watching this. My stepmother keeps yelling at the cats in disgust when the cats are my only comfort. I hate her awful words but I can't retaliate against her because she's my mother. And just because I'm an ex-convict, my knowledge is wrong, even the story of Prophet Muhammad SAW placing Hajarul Aswad and avoided tribal clash that I know since I was a little kid was wrong. I'm thinking about suicide everyday and I psychoanalyse every little thing... I have no purpose in life...

You think of yourself as a citizen of the universe. You think you belong to this world of dust and matter. Out of this dust you have created a personal image, and have forgotten about the essence of your true origin Rumi

Excellent video. In the absence of normative stability & a strong sense of belonging, people feel socially & culturally lost, devoid of guidance & support. As a result, they become depressed, anxious & more likely to commit suicide. If the body is able, the mind agile & the stomach full, but the heart is empty, deceptive, your whole world can crumble. Persons plagued by suicidal thoughts represent a profound & very moving duality. To explore with them the sources of the wasteland they sense within & around them is a way of discovering the altruism & the high hopes that have often made their despair so overwhelming. A Herculean effort sure enough, but necessary if we are to avert the needless loss of a precious life. We need to help them transcend their frightening emotional problems. Religion gets high marks as a restraint upon the suicidal impulse, but only where the social element of communal authority is strong in religion. The real shock absorbers on the rough road of life is love & understanding, given together & at appropriate times. It is nobler & finer to be conquered by life than to fall by one’s own hand.

This video puts emphasis on religious involvement as a way to reduce the risk of depression. The keyword here is "involvement", not just being religious. Also important to note is the importance of dialogue, conversation, or simply a chance to talk. That actually means a chance to be listened, not just heard. Too bad this video doesn't go deeper regarding this matter.

We apologize a lot for what happened to these teenagers, but if they only knew God's love for them and loved it, they would not have touched the body that was gifted to them by the Almighty and may God have mercy on them because they died while they are young people reckless and find it ignorant of not committing suicide because it is forbidden ..... Can a child The first seven years of divine instinct is still to think of something called suicide, except after contacting his community and affecting the purity of his heart until he commits suicide, but if I teach him hard and kindly from the good deeds, and this continues until the end of the third three years, then one knows what is sufficient for him to stay connected with his Creator Then it is impossible for someone to commit suicide
