I shall call that bike piece pipe. A combination of Indian and Harley smoking together. 😂

It definitely smokes well, I wonder if does have any rings in it, lolol. The moniker peace pipe sounds good to me. Hell I got a contact buzz just watching the video. Cool machine!!

"Peace Pipe heap big smoke Great bike and new name Pea
Whoever built that had a very intimate understanding of performance engine modification... and the skills to put it together and make it all work
Your ability to bring these old relics to life so quickly is amazing.
Thanks for watching! Be sure to subscribe to see more content coming up!

I would think that would be up there for one of the rarest Harley and Indians ever made especially if there isn't many of them left floating around and if it were mine I would throw a set of rings and bearings in it to make sure everything is up to complete running order have the carburetor rebuilt and throw a set of tires on it and some lights and ride it just as is atleast every once in a while but when I'm not riding it and it's just sitting on display I would have the original tires and wheels on it and if it's not meant to have lights on it I would take them off to sit on display but that bike is begging to be ridden

Do you guys ever build old bikes on request for customers from the ground up?
As a kid, you must’ve been around your dad alot. It’s so impressive how much knowledge you’ve retained. I’m sure your father would be proud.
I'd sure like to hear more of the story of how this bike came to be. It has some interesting modifications beyond just being a Harley-Indian hybrid.
My dad told me as a child that all they need is air, fuel, and fire. Then she'll fire off. I'm 39 now and have been a GM dealer mechanic for 19 years, and I will say it's more complex, but the basics haven't changed. It's just harder to figure out why it doesn't have one of the three.

They both failed to mention oil, as the checking and testing later demonstrated.

New engines are easy … I used to be scared of them but they are not that difficult 👍

I would just like to add that if you know you have the air, fuel and fire, then the timing. like,

Air fuel and fire ya but with out timing we'd be fucked so I think timing should be in there

I LOVE IT!! when it idled down and just THUMP THUMP THUMP a heart of iron waking up it was happy to be alive again wanting to run and ride.
Every video Matt leaves me in awe of his knowledge of motorcycles. It makes a big difference when you do something you love 👍
What an incredible piece of history, glad it made it to where it belongs (at Wheels Through Time, of course!). Plus I got another instance of what's become my favorite phrase here: "There's only one other in the world" usually followed by Matt pointing across the room and saying something like "and it's right over there" 😂
Too cool! I'd love to hear the history on this bike and see any pictures of back in the day.
That was awesome!! Loved every minute of watching the process of getting the old girl started
Thank you for bringing the Half-Breed Harley back to life. Great job.
Awesome. I knew your dad from mtv. Bought a lot of knuckle parts and gained so much knowledge from Dale. R.i.p.😢
Loved the sound of the big exhaust. Deep sound. And the single tup,tup,tup...
Sounds incredible! That will be awesome with some fresh pistons and a little TLC. Glad this bike found it to such great hands!
That was just amazing. Your knowledge of these old bikes is exceptional Matt. I hope to get over the pond one day soon and check out the museum. 👍👍
Congratulations on being the winning bid- who better to bring this history to life and widen my knowledge and enjoyment!
I always love seeing an old engine fire up for the first time in decades.
What a great addition to your collection!! I can’t wait to get down there again!
W Polsce również często spotyka się mixy starych motocykli: DKW + Iż, BMW + Ural. W Anglii również popularne były mixy BSA + Truimph (Tribsa) i inne.

How cool was that! You told this bikes story nicely Matt and then to hear it come to life, just awesome. What a treasure. Love watching these old bikes run but to see a frankenstein bike run, is very cool. Would love to hear more about the history of this amazing ride too.
Can't wait to come see the half breed! Thank for what you all do!
This video is a perfect example of why your videos are so much fun!
Wow. I could smell the smoke, feel the vibration and sound. Amazing and unique bike 80 plus years and built by a master builder. Thanks guys.
so much to see, I liked your response last year when you said if I was going to be there for 2 days I would see half the collection. You were spot on.
In a perfect world you would've got the whole collection. Bikes like this are my favourite kind of bikes. Congratulations.
Good stuff. Hope to visit this year.

That bike is by far the coolest bike in the collection. The knowledge and ingenuity in that machine is what the American spirit was meant to be.

I was smiling as much as you I love this stuff it brings tears to my eyes.
Matt, yesterday the family and I were on our way home from a short holiday, and I suggested we stop at Doc's HD in Shawano WI so the kids could see the animals and the wonderful museum Steve has there. While showing the kids the shop and such, Doc was in his shop getting a cannonball bike ready, and while talking to him, I looked on the wall and saw a big picture of a Gelbke auto 4 with 2 people on it, and he said "yea, that's me and Dale Walksler driving". My mouth hit the floor, and he proceeded to tell me the fascinating story of how that all came about with the show what's in the barn, and how wonderful of a Man your Dad was. Steve also told us some History on Wild Bill, and the stories of the 2 auto 4's that were built. He also showed us around and we saw some incredibly rare peices. I could listen to stories like this for hours. Of course, the kids were getting impatient, lol. The moral of the story is that I appreciate what you are doing there as well as Doc in the preservation of history, and I appreciate the passion that you people have for the History, and the stories alike. I have never been to your museum, but I swore to everyone there that I would 1 day visit Wheels Through Time. Thank you for what you do, and thank you for taking the time out to make these videos. God bless.
My phone can’t do justice to the sound and I can’t smell through it either but can imagine both till I can make out to see your treasure! Thanks again!!
Visiting that museum is def on my bucket list provided we are still free to travel.
I was first introduced to your business…and your Dad…by watching the show Pickers when they came to your place…your Dad….what can I say…and your knowledge is amazing!
Frikkin’. Awesome. I got to get back over and see you guys again soon.
That thing is simply amazing!! It sounds great and I bet runs like a champ
great video Matt, see you in May.
I wish Dale could have been there with you. Congratulations.
I can almost smell that workshop through the screen, old motorbike engines and oil, one of lifes nicest smells
WOW💥 WOW💥 WOW💥.....What a deal after all these years and fired right up = Amazing....Thanks Matt & Jake 👍 Shoe🇺🇸
I need to come see you guys. I always really liked watching your Dad on TV and the Apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Super cool bike. One of one.
Matt awesome 👌 Brought a tear to my Eyes. Wow 👌 Thank you.

Outstanding Matt! It sounds so unique. Oh, I bought one of the big ticket packages for the ‘37 Knuckle. Can’t wait to ride it home! Larry in Fort Worth
Not only history. This is motorcycle culture!!!
Nothing like starting up a vintage bike for the first time. I started my 1968 XLCH the first time after sitting indoors for 34 years! After doing some basic prep just 4 kicks and she fired right up! Smoked like a fright train at first but now…absolutely no smoke at all and pulls hard like a freight train! That thing may comeback without a ring job.
I can't wait too see that half breed! Glad it went to Wheels Through Time.
Love that sound!
Yes it will run and it will take 2 kicks after the prime kicks. Pretty cool old bike. I don't know if I'd give it new rings or not. Maybe soak it in some penetrating oil the old rings may just need to be freed up. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Love the sound
I love this channel.. regards Richard London UK 🇬🇧
This is a very cool bike , and it sounds fantastic! Nice job acquiring it and getting it started. Maybe Mike might be thinking , maybe I should have kept that one , oh well it’s in your museum now! If I get to Springfield I’ll want to see this one for sure!
Incredible how it fired so quickly. Beautiful scene
Wow! What an incredible feeling it must be bringing that bike back to life!!! I'm a disabled Army tank commander and I can't leave my home. All I do is sit and cry longing to ride a bike again. I might contemplate taking my own life because I can't stand it any longer!!!😢😢😢
You sure are your fathers son. Your laugh when that fired up, was pure Dale!
I guessed 5 kicks and man I was right! Awesome bike and it was nice to meet you, Matt.
How cool is that? Fantastic!
Want much more on this one, PLEASE!
