Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

My 1987 FXRS-SP is finally complete! Well, at least until I decide what to do next….

    That bike is CHOICE dude. As a fellow "Baby 80" rider, I love seeing these 90's models get gadgeted out with new tech. I put a Compufire stator + Stage II in mine because I plan on getting a fairing setup like yours someday. Great work 👍

    I miss my 91 fxrs🙄.. wow what a nice build! Maybe put some fork gaitors to hide those skinny fork tubes and give a beefier look under the fairing, just a thought. Enjoy that baby. I have 2 evo softails in my garage, fatboy cholo style and a softail custom setup as a chopper, they run forever😁

    Sell that s&s 111 and make that an 88” with branch heads and a woods 590 cam. Fast fast and more fast. Have an 1989 full from Fairing… fxr4 yellow tins/side covers and claimshell bags. Have police floor boards to with bassani pipe. Bitubo’s suspension… in short the 88” I built is just insanely quick… do have Andrew’s close ratio gear set too don’t need the clutch for speed shifting. Beautiful bike!

    It's looking really good. You might as well stick with the motor till it won't run anymore, then rebuild it, but use the other motor for a chopper. Then you'll have another bike, instead of having an unused motor sitting around. I'd love to have the links to the fairing, gadgets, and other parts, like the shocks. With all the shocks out there, why did you go with those? I don't know what to choose.

    The S&S V111 is 100% for sure going in this FXR. I’m just not sure about doing it immediately. I’m just considering riding it as is, enjoying this season, and doing the motor swap in the winter. The plan for the 80” Evo is a chopper build 👍

    @@magz7274, Oh, okay. At least, it won't go to waste. I found the fairing and keyless fob information, but it, if you would share the information about the original mirrors and your new shocks, and why you choose those over other brands of shocks, that'd be much appreciated.

    I am starting to think people don't (want to) run turn signals and light pods on the outside of these FXRD fairings, but on the FXRT FXRP yeah then no problem, What are your thoughts on running them?

  • @magz7274

    @magz7274

    I ran light pods on my RT fairing on my Dyna and liked them. I would love to run the original style RT/RD blinkers in the fairing, but they’re just extremely difficult to get ahold of and very expensive.

    I’m running pursuit pods on my deviant RD fairing. The lights I got have turn signals in them. Deviant told me they’d cut out the OG turn signals if I wanted and I’m glad I didn’t since the fairing has already cracked in about 6 different places and I’m sure they wouldn’t cause even more structural weakness
