Take a look at Rob’s 1987 Harley-Davidson FXRC
The 1987 Harley-Davidson FXRC is a sought after model for FXR enthusiasts. This particular model is number 40/650 as it is an early construction model. Eventually Harley-Davidson ended up producing an extra 100 models resulting in a total of 750. What makes the FXRC so different from the other FXR models Harley produced was that it was numbered and came stock from the factory with a blue painted frame and custom tins to match.
This bike features a Thrashin Anti-Rerversion Exhaust with a 2-1/2” stepped to 2-3/4” Feuling Dog Ball Baffle, S&S V 111”, and Mikuni 45 carburetor. This bike puts down 110 horsepower and 122 ft lbs torque, which is perfect for ripping around the canyons of Southern California.

Thats how you rebuild a classic bike... Clean and with the hp n torque that rivals today's dynas. Well done man!

Hey Rob its tom. Dude with the same bike with a springer. Glad to see this bike getting shown off, the video came out sick!
I have the racetech emulaters, fork springs, tracker die 11” damper rods and 20 w fork oil on my 02 fxdl. It’s not a cartridge kit. But it’s soooo much better than stock. The gap between this sit up and a full blown cartridge/inverted cartridge set up is, not small or negligible but the gap between stock and this is significantly larger. If you can spend 8-1200 on a cartridge kit do it. If not. For the spring and emulator kit I think I payed $275, the damper rods were like 85$ and then fork fluid and a rebuild kit. Like I said. It’s not as god as a full set up. But budget, bang for your buck? 10/10 would highly recommend for someone that needs a solid front end on a budget.
Minty!! Such a rad and rare model

That is a beautiful bike. What year where you born 1987?
What do you do with the OEM engine? Those early EVOs are really long time runners you must save this, have seen that there are huge diffrrens in quality between early EVOs and those who comes after 1990-92 you can easyli drive those early engines for 120-130000 miles with no problems, but after 1990 this quality goes down with cam bearings lifters and some problems with cracks around the cylinder studs. I had an 1989 FXLR before and this runs without no problems at all,but my 92 Dynaglide has been apart after cam bearing fails and front rod bearing failiure with flat needles, the guy who repair my chrank and bore my cylinders told me that the front rod bearing had flat needles and the rear had pittings and was in order to failiure,so i wondering if i should get my dyna up in good running shape and swap it an before 90 FXR......
I would love to hear what "Mountain Man George" a n old school Club Member would say watching these videos if he hadn't passed. Would love to hear his response to "Cleaned up my Cockpit" 😆 🤣

How much money do you have in Thrashing parts, How much to chrome you . I love it and want to do the same thing on my m8 lowrider.
Clutch is ?? viewers may want to know ..Nice bike.
How does one get that finish on that AR exhaust ? It doesn’t look like that on the website
where did you put the switches?
Did he have that AR exhaust chromed to? I know y'all don't offer chrome on your exhaust
What are the chances you guys might make a set up for a 7/8 handlebar. These are the best looking bars imo on the market right now but I really like the feel of my 7/8 protaper setup.

I know this is an old video but I put a 113 into my FXR with the Mikuni 45 and now I'm having a clearance issue between the gas tank And the top of the Mikuni 45 cable pulley. Can you please tell me how you solved that problem?

Have you aligned your engine and swingarm and wheels?
Beautiful bike... you def put some $$ into this.. Bars seem a little too high
My 85' FXR is leaking transmission fluid down by the primary drain plug. Any idea what that could be?
