The main concern I have with HF products is the motors they use. I am not a heavy user of tools, but I don't like motors with loud grinding sounds coming out (recent experience with an angle grinder that smoked after about 30 minutes use). Maybe the Bauer line is better, but I might spring for a Ridgid model just to avoid motor failure issues. Thanks for a well considered review.

as you can tell from my videos, I use a lot of HF tools in my shop - I have never had a motor issue - even on the 1990s bench grinder I restored - kzread.info/dash/bejne/lYalpMOGh5vSdpc.html - in the case of the hand grinders, I normally pack grease in the gearbox, thats were most of the noise comes from in those - I suspect the noise in most of the tools comes from not enough grease, like the grinder, unless they are sealed bearings, I grease them when I first get them - I take apart most HF power tools, I want to know their condition and check for grease and obvious problems Thanks for subscribing!

You mentioned in a comment that you would often grease tools. To reduce noise .... Can you do a video showing the do's and don'ts of that. Thank You. And hope you and the family are better after your Covid bout.

Thanks, its been 6 months since the last covid encounter, still not back to normal, but great progress, I'll add that video to my list, good topic, you might like this video were I greased a grinder gearbox to make it quieter, shows the process, thanks for subscribing!

about a month ago HF had a 20% off coupon on bauer products, it was a series of % off on different lines - it as 10% for everyone, 20% for ITC members - if you go their web site and sign out for emails, it will come in emails, or you can go to theirwebsite and click deals, it will show all the deals currently active - I was surprised the % off worked on top of the black friday deals, but saved me a lot - thanks for subscribing!

Do u know if the 20% stacks on the itc price?

it varies by the coupon - on this one I used the 20% bauer products, then used the general coupon, and those did stack, but was very surprised, first time that happened to me - read the coupons and look at the exclusions, and its still hard to know for certain - thanks for subscribing!

Seballz - doing better, trying to regain my breathing capacity - my wife is mostly better and my son is out of the hospital and recovering, but he has a ways to go to get back to normal - covid is very nasty - learned a lot about covid this round (third) - delta is much worse than the original, its been really cold here, which impacts my breathing, so not much shop time, lots of tools waiting to be setup - how are you doing? hoping you and your family does not get covid Thanks for asking!

I am recovering from my 3rd round of covid, delta this time - my breathing is still not recovered enough to work in the shop and my son is still recovering from being hospitalied from covid, I expect to be posting videos again in the next few weeks, covid is some serious stuff and I hope to not have round 4.......
