    do you know if you can swap the 5 inch disc sander for a wheel sander (bench grinder style)

  • @snapwholeharborfreightreviews
    @snapwholeharborfreightreviews17 сағат бұрын

    while it is possible - at least theoritically, I'm not sure it is practical, the shaft is what I see as the problem, finding a wheel that would fit would be the issue, or finding an adapter that would make it fit would be hard to find - not impossible - doing that does sound good, especially if you had a small show, it would have a lot of space, and I have several tools that have a disc sander as a secondary tool, and I don't need that many - if you come up with a way to do this, please share the details - thanks for subscribing!

    Hi. Is it normal to be able to easily slow and even stop the motor when using a wire wheel?

  • @snapwholeharborfreightreviews
    @snapwholeharborfreightreviews2 күн бұрын

    it might be painful on a wire wheel if you use your hand, but yes, it is relatively easy to stop any grinder wheel or wire wheel, the motor has plenty of speed, but not a lot of torque, so if you apply pressure to the wheel, it will slow the motor - I am surprised that people use a sander attachment on a grinder, because as soon as you apply pressure to the sanding belt, the grinder slows down and stops - thanks for subscribing!

    I went to pick one of these up today and apparently they discontinued them and left us with no other options for a router table which seems odd because most of the time they just rebrand something.

  • @snapwholeharborfreightreviews
    @snapwholeharborfreightreviews2 күн бұрын

    I agree on the rebrand, they are trying get rid of all drill master and chicago electric and build up warrior and bauer, with bauer going mainly battery powered, but they are pulling products a lot lately, their video systems disappeared, usually they do a discontinue first, if they just disappear, that might be a sign they are out of stock, which removes them from the website, store shelf space, and they will eventually come back into stock, but with no announcement, but no guarantee - you find future products before they are announced or released by searching their manuals, manuals for new products are available on the website about a year before they are announced, not easy to find, but available

  • @snapwholeharborfreightreviews

    you will need to get the manual, check snapwhole.com for the manual, and get the technical spec of the camera, it seems like there is an endless number of protocols and media, so finding the right one might take a little time, amazon prime is your friend, you can easily return cameras that do not work with the system - supposedly any h.264 coax fed 1080p camera will work, but I have zmodo system and the cameras do not work between the systems - thanks for subscribing

    Just keep oil in it and the chain adjusted tight enough (keep it sharp) and it will serve you well. I've used mine for three seasons now cutting up slabwood I get from local sawmills in my area. I got replacement chains from Amazon so I always have a sharpened one when I need it. They are easy to sharpen and it cuts as good as a gas powered unit with a sharp chain.

    I bought this exact trimmer about a year ago. I don't use it much so the pre wound string lasted a while. I tried doing it exactly like this and when I placed it back into the weed eater it just came unraveled and I ate through an entire reel in 5 minutes . Im not an expert but something tells me it should last longer than that so i don't know what i did wrong.

  • @snapwholeharborfreightreviews
    @snapwholeharborfreightreviews21 күн бұрын

    the unraveling is what allowed it to come out so fast, I know it is hard to do, but you can get the spool installed without it unraveling - use the cord locks to hold the cord tight, insert the line into the hole first and one side at a time, pull the string one at a time and pop them out of the lock as you seat the reel, once the reel is in its place, it will hold tension - a little awkward the first few times, but it does work, once the tension is released on the spool and the cord unravels, you need to start over after rewinding the cord - the working end of this is exactly like the ones black and decker uses on their trimmers, might even come from the same factory - thanks for subscribing!

    enjoy the videos sir! I noticed HF quit selling these cameras now. Mine is about a year old and I'm wanting to add 2 more cameras. Im not too too familiar with setting up new ones but can probably figure it out after I buy them. Thank you!

  • @snapwholeharborfreightreviews
    @snapwholeharborfreightreviews29 күн бұрын

    I don't think they quit selling them, I think they are just out of them, if HF has an item out of stock and no more coming in the near future, they drop it from their website, and it will re-appear in the future, so don't give up hope - but these are designed to the ONVIF standard, which is a new industry standard for home video surveillance systems, so theoretically if cameras conform to that standard they will work with this system - I searched amazon for ONVIF cameras and several were listed, verify in the details they are ONVIF compliant, POE does not mean ONVIF, POE is a power/wiring standard, ONVIF is a data/signalling protocol standard - I have not tried any non-HF camera, so no recommendations, but if you have prime, you are protected if what you buy says ONVIF but does not work, you can return it within 30 days, I'm interested in any adventures you have with other cameras, I'm sure a lot of viewers will be interested in your results - thanks for subscribing!

    I use a 125psi 2 HP, 30 gallon tank with 3/8 inch hoses, 1/4 inch connectors, there are CFM requirements, but a 5 gallon tank set for 90psi with 3/8 inch hoses will work, you might need to be a little patient to let the tank catch up occasionally, a bigger tank takes a difference, the 3/8 hose is important as it allows more air volume to be available in the line and makes a big difference in performance - CFM recommendations are for optimal performance, real world trades off optimal performance for using what is on hand and works - thanks for subscribing!
