Kambosis biggest mistake in both fights was the fact that he wanted to counter Devin. Devin was clearly aware of that because he feinting, changing his rhytmn, staying on his toes making sure Kambosis couldnt plant his feet to counter. This fight looks alot like Floyd vs Canelo where one is looking to box to rack up some points and the other one looking for counters.

Haney has way more natural talent with his hand speed, footwork, defense, and accuracy it’s not even close. Kambosis just has more power and if he didn’t beat Lopez he wouldn’t be as known. Haney-9.33/10, Kambosis-7.5/10.

A lot of people may not like it, but clinching is and has always been an essential part if boxing and a boxer's arsenal. It's good for catching breath, tying up opponents, and even uf you want to put in some sneaky pot shots in there.

IMO this marketing has been VERY subpar for a fight this magnitude! Literally the best possible fight we could be getting as boxing enthusiasts with 2 of literally the best in the division, with a solid undercard and Top Rank has promoted this less than the Kambo fight. Smh 🤦🏽‍♂️ People who know the sport know how big this fight is regardless of who you like better, but not marketing to the casuals is beyond me. How you have ESPN as your network and barely any information or push about this fight. You couldn't have mentioned it and shown a graphic during basketball playoffs? NHL playoffs? The daily network prior to 1 week before the fight? They have built no real buzz about this fight and its payperview! Smh 🤦🏽‍♂️ I was upset when they only did a one city press tour but I assumed they were going to use their lure and market this better than PBC, but the best they got is a knock off PBC All Access and some old fight clips. I am mad disappointed in your effort, this is why boxing can't elevate and it falls behind other sports, this is why big fights aren't made because the numbers never equate to the risk. IMO Top rank has done a terrible job promoting thier fighters and specifically Dev the undisputed champion of lightweight. George is a good technical fighter, He fought to his strengths in this fight. Which unfortunately heavily favored Haley’s slow pace counter punching style. Styles make fights and I don’t think this fight was a great matchup for George. Props to George on taking chances and being an absolute warrior 👊🏾

Most likely, Lomachenko's fight style won't work perfectly against fast and technical, young Haney. And Vasiliy is not getting younger.

people saying kambosis fought the wrong fight, he fought the same way vs teofemo Lopez the only time he exchanged with combinations is when teo was overly agressive besides that he was outboxing teo. Kambosis is honestly and counter puncher that only engages in large combinations when necessary if his opponents isn't throwing many combinations you won't see him for the most part throw spurts of combinations either. he might throw 3-4 punch combinations here and there but he is not this in the pocket aggressive fighter idk where that came from. I can see why he wanted a lomacheko fight he has confidence in his counter ability to the body and hand speed, I don't think it would be enough tho for loma.
