Tank Davis doesn't get enough credit for his boxing IQ. Measuring & monitoring Ryan's hook by extending his arm/glove in the same space & ducking on instinct anticipating that counter. Devin & Bill clearly didn't study this fight. Also Garcia has a damn good chin. He never looks rattled or deer legged after a head shot or knockdown..

davis isn't anything i've seen before. name another fighter, who's the shorter smaller guy, who is constantly giving ground, moving back, barely throwing anything at all, and only going for massive KO countershots while giving ground, moving back, as the vastly shorter fighter. super strange style, and it works, which is remarkable. it's against conventional wisdom saying the shorter fighter with less reach must pressure. he does things totally backwards. he barely even throws any punches at all -- until he does and knocks Ryan out. Tank knows Ryan will be dehydrated so his gameplan revolved around bodyshots, he saw the luke Campbell fight and saw Ryan's chin.

Wow, I never realized how Ryan Garcia straight up looks like a toothpick here compared to what he looked like against Devin Haney. Shoutout to Garcia for taking this fight with a rehydration clause and a catch weight. Can’t take anything away from Tank though, even at a 144 catchweight I’d still favor Tank over Ryan to be honest, but a much more competitive fight.

After that first round last Saturday night, Bill Haney told Devin to duck under that left hook.. Tank executed that from rd 1 in this fight, that was the difference.. it was just skill and Devin seem overwhelmed when he couldn't figure Ryan tactics out.. Ngl rewatching this fight, Tank respected his power for sure, If Ryan connected a few of those shots in the 2nd rn it couldve gotten ugly for Tank, but Tank defense was on display this night..

Enough with the rehydration clause excuse. Watching this back you can CLEARLY see that this fight had to with skill & not weight. The way Ryan fought on Saturday was the same he fought this fight. The only TRUE difference in the two..was the opponent. Tank did what shockingly Devin couldn't do & that was take away Ryan's one claim-to-fame-shot; his left hook. Had Devin took that away, complete different fight it would have been Saturday. But to go back to the clause excuse, let me break it down for you Ryan fans.... Ryan called Tank out. Multiple times for about 3 years. Tank was the top guy between the two. If you're a challenger, you go to the champion's territory to dethrone him. This is nothing new and something that has been done time & time again in boxing. Remember Floyd vs. Oscar? Oscar was the top guy at the time. After repeatedly being called out by Floyd, he finally accepted and made him go to HIS WEIGHT of 154 to fight. What did Floyd do?....said "fine", took the deal, fought, and won. So being that Tank is 135 (and a natural smaller fighter of the two), and Ryan was the one doing all the barking, he had to fight at Tank's weight, not the other way around. But the main gripe I have with you guys using this excuse is yall always are excluding the fact that TANK WAS UNDER THE SAME DAMN CLAUSE AS WELL!! I would understand (half-way) if it were only Ryan under the 10 pound rehydrate restriction, but SO WAS TANK!! Looks and sounds like an even playing field to me. (shrug). Clearly Ryan is much bigger than the 135 division, hell even the 140 (as Saturday night showed), so having a clause on him was actually smart for Tank to do to make the fight FAIR. Not necessarily have an advantage. Again, it'd only be an advantage if Tank didn't have a clause on him. So with all that being said, Ryan lost this fight due to a skill difference, not a weight difference. His best (and only) weapon was taken away by a smarter fighter. I feel even if they hadn't have done a clause, Tank was getting the win regardless. I give Ryan full credit for his win against Haney, taking nothing from him. But I will say this..... he didn't do anything different in that fight than he did with this one. Again. The only difference was the opponent.

Ryan actually fought better in this fight, this is the best we have seen Ryan, he was extremely sloppy in the Haney fight and still got the job done, in this fight he was very technical, but still showed hints of repetition which was his downfall, he didn’t have enough tools in his boxing to get the job done, on the other hand, for tank, it seems like this was a sparring match for him 😂
