Its okay to laugh and show emotion, my friend. Dont apologize for it! It actually makes the videos more relatable and enjoyable
Hi all, hope you enjoy the video. I enjoyed making it! 😂 This product offers a great mixture of realism & gameplay elements to produce a very immersive experience. Point of correction - the Cessna elevator trim is on a tab and the elevator would not drop at 0kts on the ground on a real aircraft. Developer will update the config to disable this in a forthcoming update.

I have had my Brunner now for around 6 months, after flighing ffb there really is no going back. Tweaking the profiles for the different aircraft is needed with the Brunner, there are pre made profiles on the Brunner cloud that other users have saved that act as a good starting point. The landing challenges are fun. The price is so good, I paid a lot more for my baby Brunner. Always vat at 20%, certainly for the eu from Switzerland.with reference to mounting on your motion rig. I have a p3. I bought some steel plate from Germany it comes in various sizes and they can cut it to specific sizes I bolted that to the rig and attached the brunner to that.if you would like a picture mark let me know.

You certainly enjoyed yourself 😄 Personally I think I still favor using the butt kicker, because I can use it for all types of aircrafts (airliners included) . I prefer to have the vibrations and other effects in the chair. That said it's because my GA yoke is an all metal, heavy duty one, which is very realistic. Most yokes are light and flimsy and that indeed kills the immersion. For people who fly exclusively GA aircraft this might be great value for money indeed.
I fully 100% agree with possible immersion what we GA plane lovers can't get enough of. It's pricey and needs to be plug and play for MSFS2020 / 2024 without any thinkering at that price point. What will happen I hope but it's looking very promising.
Mark, I just wish to say your channel is by far the best one out there. Your offerings are so professional and informative to us simmers. I hope to bump into you at FlightSimExpo...and test out this Yoke. All the best! Greg

With FFB you want the emergency stop button separate like Flitesim did here. If your system glitches, trust me you want that button in a place you can quickly and safely reach to kill the power.
Looks like a gamechanger, Mark. I'll need to trade in my TB V1 Yoke, but I need this in my sim. It's all about the realism, baby.

Very nice! I was hoping under your heavy braking in that short field landing, you would have pulled that control wheel ALL the way aft to keep the weight OFF the nose wheel and also add a bit more drag to aid in stopping. Thank you for the presentation.

Fantastic Marc. I really appreciate your tests. They are so professionnal and done with so sympathy. Thank you.
Pretty sure a C172 has an external trim tab for pitch trim, so you don’t get that movement on the yoke when you trim on the ground. The Pa38 is the only aircraft I’ve flown irl which does that. Other than that, this looks excellent (assuming that you can set up profiles for it to work just as well with larger aircraft as with small GA).
@NanaHoshi35
2 ай бұрын
interesting to know that PA38's trim works like that, I only knew older fighters like F4 F14 F15 etc do it in that way haha. BTW the boss of the company replied on their d-iscord: "confirmed that this option will be added in the next software update: To add: “Disable hardware trim on ground” effect and leave this box unchecked by default."

Mark -- great video (as are all of your videos); thank you. I've got the RedBird and Yoko yoke and am hoping to get this and replace those. Your video helped convince me.
Very interesting 👍
It's nice having a FFB sim rig for racing and it's about time to bring that same feeling to flight sim with out braking the bank. I hope they make more great products to the flight sim world.
I'd like to get this sort of system for my THRUSTMASTER HOTAS.
It's totally ok to laugh and show emotions. It shows that you're passionate for this hobby! Isn't that why we're in this hobby, after all? I can only wish to be as joyful and youthful when I reach your age! I'm glad we're finally seeing more options for FFB, it's something that's been sorely missing in the flight sim space.
Anything that adds more realistic feedback to the controls in MSFS 2020 has to be a good thing in my opinion. The scenery in MSFS 2020 has vastly improved over earlier iterations of the sim, as has the flight modelling and the quality and range of different aircraft we simmers have to choose from. ATC has improved as well. Adding fairly realistic force feedback to the yoke and rudders looks to be a game changer.
You were having way too much fun Mark 🙂

Got the Brunner a month ago xD. For sure I would had considered this one! BTW FFB all the way
Looks amazing, a more compact version that's maybe a bit weaker would be nice. It's such huge unit
The most important thing for me ist the resistance of the yoke: If your plane is standing on the ground, there is nearly no resistance. If you are flying slow (landing), the resistance is very soft. The resitance must be from soft to strong as you are flying slow to fast. You can feel the speed of the plane through the resistance of the yoke. Sorry for my english (i am german :)

That's awesome
By the first look, it seems they found lots of inspiration from Brunner's products
This yoke looks really nice and if it comes in at 799 usd, that's a fantastic price compared to the price of a Brunner. 😊 The functions and effects are very similar to the Brunner. I have a Brunner, Mark is absolutely right the ffb yokes are fantastic. Can only be a good thing having the prices coming down allowing more folk the chance to experience ffb.
Great video, and glad you're enjoying it! Just curious... I'm not sure how the trim works on this modern Cessna, but moving the trim tabs at idle and rest on the ground on the M/N models I used to fly should have no movement effect on the yoke. Thanks for the video!
Looks like a fine piece of gear, if perhaps a bit heavy duty for the average simmer. I fly the 172 at my local club and the loading on the yoke in normal operations is light enough so you would be unlikely to find yourself wrestling with the yoke with two hands ..... assuming the wings were still attached ! One small point, the trim has zero effect on the yoke/drooping elevator when the aircraft is stationary so maybe that's something that can be addressed in the settings.
@NanaHoshi35
2 ай бұрын
The force is adjustable. And have more power is better for flying heavier aircraft (it's even not enough)
I really really want to get a yoke, having spent a fortune on Fanatec for sim racing whenever I fly, using a VKB stick I long for more immersion. However because my rig is dual purpose with throttle velcro'd to a shifter plate on the side and a swinging keyboard tray to put my stick on in front of the wheel, I don't have a good option to mount one yet. I need to come up with a system to attach to the profile rig that allows it to swing out of the way for racing, but swing back in and lock in place when I want to fly
I'd love to have one, but it's probably more than I can afford. I currently use the Turtle Beach Velocity One
Looks like a fine yoke and undoubtedly adds to the realism. It seems they purposed this yoke chiefly for the prop planes; they don't even mention jets in the description. I am wondering if CLS60 can perform well with, say, a 737.

Next Level Racing keyboard & mouse stand.
Hmmm. The force-feedback is impressive. This unit with this handle is probably great for flying small airplanes like Cessnas, Pipers, etc. I'd probably wait for a yoke handle at least like a CH yoke...a handle that is more suited for a TBM, Citation, M500. Interchangable handles would be a bonus.
Pitch is not in NM but just in Newtons as it shows how much force is pushing. Newton meters on the other hand show rotation force 😉

Very strange to have the yoke move when you trim. Trim tabs don't move the yoke, they work on the control surfaces. In some aircraft (FBW) the entire horizontal stabilizer moves with the elevator trim, for sure not on a C 172.
Looks like a terrific product but can't help wonder how all those moving parts will last over time with wear and tear.

@NanaHoshi35
2 ай бұрын
For 777, it depends on how good the data PMDG would expose to the telemetry otherwise the software has to do it on itself..but since the real T7 has an artificial feel system that alters the control loading depending on various parameters, it's kinda like a flight sim FFB device. For the buses..if you really want to fly the sidestick buses with a yoke, you can simply set it as spring centered I believe. For the yoked buses of 300/310, I'm not sure if they have "FFB" system or just spring-centered..

Teaming the Somnium VR1 (or Varjo XR4), the DOF Reality H3, and the recently announced Flitesim FC-50 console should check all the boxes for a state-of-the-art simulator. The DOF Reality steering wheel platform and foundation, however, appears to be inadequate for the task of supporting the 40 pound, 27-inch-wide console. Can the DOF Reality H3 platform be modified to support the heavy Flitesim FC-50 console?
Is this force feedback doing any noise inside the case? Very earlier version did have a loud motor in it which was not a pleasure to use it! Thanks.
