@@30-06john how did 5.0grs of powder work for your 9mm Luger load. I know that ia a standard for peotection round for the 124gr load. Is this load pretty accurate aswell. I am curious and wanted to know how well it preforms

5.0 grains of Unique and a 124gr bullet is a good load, it is in the Hornady load book too. I don't have any actual chrono or accuracy data. Using 5.0 grains of AA-7 with a 124gr bullet is too low. I hope this helps!

@@30-06john thanka you so mu ch for the response. AA#7 requires i higher grain load. Due to the powder and Ramshot makeup of the powder. Aa#7 and #9 are accurate powders and great powders.

Yes, the Shield functioned fine with the +p loads. The great ammo and reloading shortage is slowly getting better, hopefully Miami will see supplies soon! Hey, thanks for watching!

I see a lot of good things about the Federal HST bullet. Are these available loose for reload? I cannot seem to find any loose federal bullets except for Hydra shocks.

Federal does not show them for sale on their website. Those bullets were designed to meet the FBI penetration tests, and are loaded to a specific velocity to meet those parameters. Similar to Hornady not selling just the Critical Duty or Defense bullets. Hey, thanks for the question and watching the video!

+p 9mm is pointless. You don't get much extra power if any. I've had +p rounds that actually had less speed for the same weight projectile. Which equates to less power. Even if you get some extra speed, If all you're getting is 50 or 60fps, you may aswell save that little extra powder. You want a power increase, get a 10mm, 357 magnum, 357 sig,

In my video, my +P loads were 130-150fps faster than the PMC factory, shooting the same bullet weight. That is a significant gain. I agree that some +P ammo is not significantly faster than normal 9mm. But much is, many Police departments are using 9mm+P duty ammo. Many shooters don't want to buy a different caliber handgun but want to maximize what they have, a 9mm. Hey, thanks for watching!
