Agree 👍but I would add to act appropriately and beautifully in any given situation according to each circumstance. Example: if you enter in a room with people that look sad,😞 or very serious.😠 Then you as a wise and moderate person to not bring in more negative vibration in the room, you make the effort to come with a positive😊 and cheerful😄attitude to uplift the people's mood.

Wisdom is to do the appropriate thing in any given situation within the folds of AhlusSunnah/Islam creed (Mufawwidi-Hanbali, or Ta2weeli Ashari and Maturidi), acts of worship and life practices (Ijma with either of the Mathhab, Hanbali, Hanafi, Maliki, or Shafie) and lifestyle (suluk, tazkiya, Tasawwuf, Turuq, Tareeqa, Qadiri (aloud) or Naqshabandi (quietly) or other methods and orders that are linked all the way back to either Ali RadiyaAllahu3nhu or AbuBakr RadiyaAllahu3nhu the Prophet 3lyhisSalaatwasSalaam) along with being attached with and consulting with a *representative Deputy* of this age in this age that is alive.

I come to this lecture every once in a while to remind myself of the character of the prophet pbuh and how he interacted with his society and how we should interact with ours. So much pearls of knowledge were embedded and littered across this sermon. It just keeps on giving. May Allah send peace and blessings onto our beloved prophet Muhammad pbuh and increase Hamza Yusufs humility, integrity and knowledge. Ameen.

Shaykh Hamza is a genius, every word coming from him feeds my brain. This is what wisdom truly is.

Allah raise his ranks. Never has he spoken and my heart has not desired to turn towards Allah

I am crying . I feel it when Allah announces that I love so and so, so that Angles love them too. And that Angles to announce it that to Allah’s whole creation to love ❤️ so and so. By Allah I feel it that our beloved Shiekh Hamza is one of the beloved ones … Subhan Allah .. I say loud and clear that I love you .. since the age of 19 I have been listening to you and getting inspired and now 44 still I feel it the same way when I was 19… Alhamdullillah .. ya Allah we love Shiekh Hamza for your sake, Ya Allah grant Shiekh JANNATUL Firdous along with his all family, and unite us all around Al-Kawthur river (having our thirst quench by the beautiful hands of Rasoollallah S.A.W). Ameen 🤲🤲🤲

14:03 "This is a bitter pill to swallow, everything that happens to us that is calamitous is from disobeying Allah and his Messenger." I've been coming to terms with this lately, such an important and true teaching.

I think there is enough trauma in the world and it will not do us any good by fighting among ourselves. May ALLAH guide one and all

Sheikh Hamza Yusuf is one of my favorite scholars, met him in person during the recent RIS Convention at Putrajaya early March 2017. May Allah bless him & family for his good deeds teaching us more and more goodness in Islam. I listen to many of videos and share them with friends, some even to non-Muslim friends.

Sheikh........................I learnt to ponder with your lectures. it needs a lot of patience to grasp your message..........very heavy and wise a good stimuli for the thought process. Jazakhumulla Khairun

sheg similar to the word shag (which means sexual intercourse) في الله means "in Allah". Allah being linked with femininity here. Your comment 7 months ago, 7 is the shape of a bent over person.

And My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more loved to Me than the religious duties I have obligated upon him. And My servant continues to draw near to me with nafil (supererogatory) deeds until I Love him. When I Love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, and his sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him; and were he to seek refuge with Me, I would surely grant him refuge. ' “ [Al-Bukhari]"

@@alkane2561 That hadith is in sahih bukhari. Go to the explanation of that hadith. Fath ul bari by ibn hajar is best explanation. A wali is someone that is close to Allah. Being a wali of Allah is like having taqwa. U don't say ur a wali or that u have taqwa. U try ur best and in next life you'll find out. To go saying people are wali and seeing them as divine is not know to sahaba nor to tabieen

I share this with deepest respect to the speaker. May I say that as one who does not speak, read or write Arabic that I find myself increasingly put off by the use of a foreign language to lend authority and validity to what is being said. I am old enough to recall that Roman Catholics and Greek Orthodox used Latin and Slovanic respectively to the same effect. I am grateful that the speaker transliterated his citations into English. However, there is still a flavor of elitism and exclusivity. Thanks for your time.

Subhan'Allah. I think everyone, including myself, would be safe to say we needed this. Especially in today's climate. A time in which everyone, including myself, forgets the 'adab of Rasulullah SAW.
