I accepted Islam 2 years ago, coming from a non religious background. With every bit of understanding I come across, I am overwhelmed by the beauty behind the Truth. Islam is profound, and I am grateful to be on this journey with my siblings. MashAllah, thank you brother for sharing your insight.

This idea of constantly seeking to have control (over a situation) is what’s making us miserable, because the truth is that you simply cannot. Leaving things to go as Allah swt planned them, trusting Him and going with the flow, trying to make the best out of the situation, is what will truly liberate us. Knowing that not a single leaf falls without Allah willing it, is a comforting thought that puts us in a vulnerable position, our intended position. Fully submitting to Allah and letting things go as He perfectly and intelligently planned it is the way to go. May the Almighty reward you for spreading such valuable knowledge and pieces of advice.

It's good to point out the different levels of understanding and to not get too bogged down in hadith or you'll get confused. Qur'an and Tafsir are extremely important. I have found that some people who put too much emphasis on hadith, get caught up in the the time and place and habit, rather than the universal messages of Quran that transcend time and place. these should not be conflated. As a literature person, I see reading Qur'an in translation like reading complex poetry in translation, you need to take time and return to it frequently and even then consult the scholars for a deeper understanding.

Exactly that's indeed how the Quran is. And as one begins to read the Quran, he finds it difficult to comprehend --- yes, there are certain statements that are straightforward and easy to understand, but there other passages which have a multi-layered depth of meanings and are open to a multiplicity of interpretations. That is because there are actually 4 levels of insight/understanding into the Quran. You ought to be my reading buddy

It reminds me of the reasoning why messages needed to be sent to nations by those who understood them. All praise belongs to Allah. The Qader = the Rank/worth. The Night of Rank/worth is the night when the great God the Almighty reveal a bit of his rank/worth to his servant individually so that he or she lives the happiness of being close to this glorified rank of God. The meaning of this Surah goes back to the origin and cause of our existence (human beings). Is to KNOW GOD THE Almighty. Basically if we put the reason God the almighty brought us to this world in our consideration concerning each part of this great religion, it becomes crystal clear the reason behind everything
