Halo Reach is my most played Halo game but at the time I only wanted it to be like Halo 3, so I didn't appreciate it that much. I found the DMR irritating for not being a BR and I found firefight to be too arcadey. What I find happens when games age is you tend to focus more on what it actually is instead of what it isn't and it can change your outlook on it a lot.

The "ammo" in the target locator isn't actually in the locator, it represents the orbital strikes authorized for Noble. That means that a random marine was able to get more strikes authorized than the spartans 🤔

Here's one you may not have noticed, General. You said that the target locator only had a few shots. But actually, if you keep it and pull it out later, you'll find that it's recharged, allowing you to use it again. It recharges a few times, and only after set points, but it can be very helpful. You haven't lived until you've creamed a Hunter with an orbital strike.

I think it was a cheap, quick way to add debris floating in space. From the distance you can’t tell it’s grass and it looks exactly like what I mentioned. They most likely put in some terrain from a map and deleted everything leaving only the grass, shaded to look like distant debris.

I still think it's the worst Bungie Halo along with Halo 2 at a close second, the glitches and poor gameplay for both games and bad art style changes and campaign for Reach being the main driving reasons behind these choices. Halo 4 came along with exactly the same gameplay as Reach along with a horrible Reach inspired art style change and some game breaking weapons (hello Bolt Shot). For some reason Reach suddenly became "the best" even tho the reason the series plays and looks as bad as it does now is solely because of Reach. Halo 3 & ODST are still the best games in the series gameplay wise and with the least glitches and arguably the best looking graphics, the HDR effect still makes the lighting look incredible and no Halo game has got it right since. While still not perfect (no Halo game ever has been) they are the closest to perfect the series ever came to being there.

I always thought the visors on spartan helmets were sensors, rather than actual lenses, and they project images onto a screen on the inside, which kinda explains them all looking like the default on the inside and how some helmets have no visor or the visor is so small or poorly placed that you wouldn't see out of it in the first place.

ODST's have a clear visor, as we see through its depolarisation (Going clear, I just call it that) but I think VISR is reliant on sensors in the helmet applying it to the readout, like real life fighter pilots and their HUD's

TheBoneHeadClan I killed the Elite. Once you kill him he will drop a data pad which has information about the covenant and glassing (you have to shoot the elite until his shields break, he will then be forced too stop. And then quickly kill him with the assault rifle).

It's not supposed to be there, it's probably there because they forgot to add the command to de-load the grass from the beach at the start of the level.

With Haunted, the helmet is randomized with random attachments that are normally not available for certain ones when shown near the mountain and when your Spartan looks at it, you can't see the inside... the bottom of the oddball skull is protruding out of it lol

On legendary mode (and only legendary mode I think) the first mission if you get off the falcon and sprint to an open area you will see a spec ops elite run across the open land with a pad on his back, if you kill him you can read the pad but if your too late he disappears

I think the Galaxy being in the background for the final cutscene with the autumn was symbolism. as if to say that finding the ring was the first step on a path to saving the galaxy...which chief does twice...by preventing the Halo rings from firing. That and it makes a beautiful backdrop

I don´t think you´re ¨out¨ of the milky way. Galaxies are so big that it would look like you´re totally out of it, but what you see there in the background are planets/stars that are far away - and the Pillar of Autumn may just be at the edge of the galaxy/outer rim or what it´s called.. if this is false it could just be another galaxy. you can see a galaxy in the background of the beginning-cutscene of Halo CE too btw.

Galaxys are waaaaaaaaaaay to far apart. The closest galaxy the andromeda galaxy looks like a large oval shaped star. Also galaxys dont have much elevation. The angle your viewing the galaxy at is definitely outside the galaxy

There's a simple explanation for the inside of the visor. If I'm not mistaken, in canon, the visor isn't transparent/glass, etc. The inside visor is a camera feed, hence why Emile can still see after carving his helmet. So, even with a helmet-sized "visor" on the EVA style helmets, the internal visor is a single screen for your HUD.

One thing I messed with in the Reach campaign was the molten metal pots on the last true level. For some reason, if you crouched and slowly walked off the edge into the pot you didn't die just floating on top of the surface. There was no way to get back out except reloading a save or getting yourself killed in co-op. I still don't know why it worked, but it was fun to play with for about 3 minutes since I still haven't heard anyone else talk about it.

Here is something you may not know: This only works on Legendary. In the very beginning, were you get dropped of by the Falcon in the first mission, there is an invisible Elite dead ahead running towards the building. You must kill him before he enters the building or he will vanish. He drops a notepad when killed - you can read it.

I Am Zuijin no one cares kid

Hey Generalkidd, long-time watcher here. Just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for making these videos man! You and Termacious Trickocity are my all-time favorite Halo KZreadrs. No one else has ever bothered to document/record/archive the various little quirks that each of the Halo games have until you man, and you've been pretty much uploading daily since I recently subscribed to you. So keep up the awesome work dude, we'll have to play MCC together sometime!

When me and my cousin first played reach , when found out all of this stuff was part of the game and was something normal in a the game , but today I found out the space grass because of you

I've played halo reach more than I would want to say:D, but I have never seen the credits/ that cutscene which I've always found weird and it has always bothered me for many reasons, is there a case with the european version or something where its not there because I've tried everything possible.

It only appears on legendary too. I killed it and it drops a weird pad with some data on it that you can read.

That's an easter egg, I think it also has an achievement... I could be wrong about that part though

#8 always made me angery Even with EVA or not-haunted PILOT or GUNGNIR you just have the basic visor also, the visor in the helmet is actually always rendered. Whenever there's a SPARTAN, he has an itty bitty visor floating in his helmet. You can prove it by pausing theater mode and going inside someone's head with the free look cam

been a halo, especially a Reach fan since the first day and you STILL manage to find 10 things I indeed never noticed before. gg

I found 2 more secrets on Halo Reach, on WINTER CONTINGENCY, at the part where you ride the falcon to Kat and Emile, get a forklift, and you can move Kat away from the thing she's doing. The other secret is that on firefight, when you're on the Covenant team, get a needler and give it to a Jackal who has a charging plasma pistol. Needler PLASMA?

Halo: Reach was actually a pretty good game.

When everyone’s favorite reach character died. Unless you’re like me loves Jun and finished his armour set

I don’t know if anyone else noticed this before, but I just recently realized that Buck from Halo 3 ODST is in Halo Reach on the mission New Alexandria. (At least his voice) he is the ODST squad requesting support from Noble 6.

Team Fish Taco Happy Birthday!

This video feels like it came out seven years ago. There is so much space where nothing happens which should really be edited out. Even the microphone sounds like it's from 2010.

For the target locator marine, you didn't try hard enough. You have to get Kat in another vehicle or on the turret (by getting in the side seat, she'll probably get on the turret or in another vehicle your co-op partner is in; then you can hop out and let the marine in). I've seen another video where the marine is in the vehicle so I know it's possible. There might be more to that trick, but it's worth getting working for a LASO run, so I need to look it up some more.

With the intro cutscene, if you use the helmet with the broken visor and skull on the inside, it'll actually show the bottom of the skull when you turn the helmet around

The tip of the spear opening cutscene shows why you should never trust Kat in the drivers seat of the warthog

I knew about the Pelican Turret, pretty helpful on Legendary, I used it during the final part after you attack the bridge but I could see the whole time

Another thing I noticed, in the first cutscene Noble 6 rides in on a warthog, but it's a scout warthog with no turret, which isn't an actual playable vehicle in the game.

One thing that I found on the Lone Wolf level is that one of the metal beams where you pick up the DMR Ammo outside of the building where the armor lock is your able to walk right through it

The grass is probably for the cutscene where jorge throws you out of the ship before it blows up and you end up falling from space and its the area in that scene left over.

Ohh good old Reach. Spent so much time on it and got Inheritor eventually. Lovely times

I think why all helmets are the same on the inside is because it's like a screen for the HUD. If you had a Recon helmet, for example, It would be pretty hard to see through such a thin and small visor. That's just what I think.

I stumbled across that Exodus trick myself cause I was goofing around hitting people with the grav-ham. It is not ONLY funny, but it also can get you an achievement which doesn't make sense. It's some kind of glitch. Maybe lots of people know about this, ai have no idea. I cant remember what the name of the Achievement was, but it said that I was awarded for "hijack a banshee in the mission exodus." What I did was: I killed some of me teammates in a way which wouldn't result in me being executed instantly by surviving marines. Then when I got close to the Falcon on the Right, the game printed "hold B to board Enemy falcon." This is why the marines begin shooting each other I believe. Because the game has them now labeled as Enemies, however they are scripted to target and kill anything labeled as Enemy. If you make this happen several different times and you do not kill the two soldiers who are on foot..... Eventually you will see the falcon gunners kill civilians too. But I think thats only cause they are trying to hit those foot soldiers. ANYway, as for the Achievement.....if anyone knows what Achievement I am describing, please reply with a comment. Also if anyone tries this and it works for them, I'd like to know. This may only work on the Master Chief Collection.

it sounded like he said "discharge link - loud and clear!" but he could have been speaking in another language like George did a few times and just saying whatever the subtitles were.
