FAQ:
Why ‘the religious hippie?’
It was a nickname my friends gave me when I was in highschool because I dressed like a hippie and was a ‘wild child’, when I came back into my faith they thought ‘the religious hippie’ was now a more appropriate nickname and it stuck!
How old are you? Currently 23, my birthday is April 8th.
Who is your favorite saint? Saint Francis of Assisi
Where do you live? Chicago
When do you upload? Every Tuesday!

Nothing is more important than for a person to come to know Jesus Christ as the Savior of their soul. The Bible tells us about our common need to be saved and that this salvation can only be found in Jesus Christ (see Acts 4:12). However, the Bible also warns about counterfeits that are in the world to deceive us (see 2 Corinthians 11:3-4). Mike Gendron has excellent talks on KZread about the true Jesus Christ and the true gospel. Be sure to put your trust in the genuine!

I save bugs! We had a jumping spider as a pet for many months. I have 4 kids and I've successfully instilled this love for bugs in them. It went from an interest to now it is a way I teach them to respect life, no matter how small. I've always cringed when I see people and kids just kill bugs for no reason and enjoy it. We will not hesitate to kill a seemingly dangerous bug that's in our house if we dont know enough about it. Human life is definitely more important of course. I'm glad you're a kindred spirit Amber Rose!

it kind of depends on the bug. Spiders I normally relocate (normally outside). Wasps, bees, ... I also try to relocate outside and sometimes give them some sugar water if they seem lethargic (normally helps right away). Geckos (that the cat brings in) we also capture and put outside (normally on a plant: natural pest-control). So, yes, you are not the only one who saves bugs. Cockroaches and other insects considered pests... they are a different thing, we often do not relocated them, sometimes we kill them (a couple of times I have also moved them out of the house, but that's not the norm).

And of course to make a connection between the first and second themes of the Video, we can recall the traditional Catholic belief that mosquitoes themselves have been placed upon the earth, like many other tiny insects as indeed the eyes of Satan, and only to observe the rituals of Holloween will we keep his influences, to an appropriate minimum.

After hearing the compelling story of Saint Maria Goretti, a young woman martyred in the early 1900's, I didn't think it'd be possible for the young women of today to emulate Maria---who was canonized a Saint in what could be construed as the dawn of our current post-modernism era-- and in so doing, follow that indubitably arduous task of actually rising to the level of Sainthood. Inadvertently coming across and then watching this articulate, intelligent young woman who effortlessly exudes an incredibly effervescent inner and outer feminine beauty has caused me to seriously reconsider my earlier position on the matter and reach the conclusion that only time will tell. May God forever bless and keep you, Amber. Joseph.

Heaven is yours😇 To a woman, who believed herself damned for her numerous and grave sins, Saint Philip Neri, after having confessed her, said: "Heaven is yours!" She, incredulous, replied: “It's impossible, father. You make fun of me, because you know that I am a great sinner ”. “Listen to me, then”, the saint resumed, “tell me if I'm not right. During his life, who was most loved by Jesus? " "Sinners!" "For whom did Jesus die?" "For sinners!" "And now, what are you?" "A great sinner!" "And then", concludes the saint, “If Jesus loved sinners very much, to the point of dying for them, and you are repentant, Heaven is yours, because God loves you very much; 'because there is a great celebration in heaven, when a sinner is converted'! "

I find it easier to steer clear of “Halloween Parties” and costumes on that day. Even with the idea of scaring demons with costume idea that goes on in Mexico, it just places too much emphasize on the demonic 🤷🏻‍♀️ just my 2 cents

I was wondering if you’d consider a saint short on St. Jude, today is his feast day so it came to mind. An older/more mysterious saint but there’s still a lot of traditions and content and I think it’d be interesting next to the more modern saint shorts.

  • @ecclesiaxxi6210
    @ecclesiaxxi6210 Жыл бұрын

Just my thoughts ...so Hallows Eve/ All Saints Eve (that is Christian, but they're not the same as what we think of when we hear 'Halloween' in modern society) ... Halloween as most modern westerners/Americans (and the msm and social media promoted people) celebrate it is pagan. The Christian celebrations (All Saints day/eve) are nothing like the pagan/occult ones in the modern boomer west (talk to your greatest gen grandparents, they didn't do what is currently promoted). Sorry (as someone who used to visit the US and saw the Halloween celebrations & what the neighbourhoods are like and what shops sell ...no) dressing children as devils, ghosts, demons, witches and having creepy skeletons and spirits around ... that's paganism and occult. That a Christian country/people fell for it, is a sign of the power of (a) shop chains like walmart , so materialism (b) media/hollywood. It's creeping into Poland. At my church they try to counter it on children by having a party on the 31st for the children where they dress as saints and angels and have wholesome fun ...they even made it clear, if you even bring cakes or snacks that have those demonic signs/symbols on them, you're not coming in, it's not allowed ...in previous years they gave the announcements at the end of mass 3 weeks prior so the parents know the rules, and it's true, if you ignore and are still trying to bring in such items... you're likely a subverter. In Poland we have visiting the graves of our relatives and ancestors coming up, all souls day, that's our big celebration of this time, it was never Halloween, that's a western/US import ... so due to All Souls Day coming up all the shops are now selling the special candles & decorations for the cemetery. Yes we have now Christian/Catholic days, but those aren't Halloween as the modern post WWII west currently understand it and promote it, and trying to conflate them (in my opinion) is dangerous ... I think it's easier just to separate it at this point and don't call it Halloween, as that is pagan and it's a different name (they knew what they were doing when pushing it in the west, using word play). So if you're going to celebrate these things, celebrate the Christian way and the Christian celebrations, no demons, skeletons, witches, murder, occultism, divination, devils, ...no such decorations - spiders, cobwebs, creepy looks etc. that's not Christian, otherwise it's another example of mental gymnastics to explain away a "in your face" evil mockery. E.g. bake some soul cakes with crosses, or cupcakes with angels (not spiders/snakes and demons), decorate with Christian themed decor, remember the saints and later the dead.” Conclusion, like the word "gay", what people think when they hear 'Halloween' is tainted at this point thanks to media power, so just stick with the Catholic alt names and celebrate the Christian days and in a Christian way and stay away from whatever Hollywood has been promoting to us, and likely 99% of the shops, make your own Christian stuff... and could be good idea for Christian shops going forward and our future parallel societies, and call it an alt name like Hallows Eve, Hallows tide or whatever. Didn't watch the video yet ... but looking forward to seeing your take on this now :)

Besides It is the Main celebration of the satanic. Dressing up Kids and going out with them to hang out would be acting in complicity with this celebration. The catholic celebration has nothing yo do with disguisses.

    1. I'm pretty sure that bee is a "she." Most are. 2. If you are going to dress up as a saint, avoid the "sexy" version of the costume. 3. One thing you might want to consider doing is to convince your priest to celebrate the I Vespers for All Saints Day publicly in the parish. He has a clerical obligation to pray the Office anyway, so he might enjoy doing it the way it was meant to be done. Obviously, this assumes you are a traditionalist that still has the Divine Office. Then, after the service, do your party or candy-begging, or whatever. 4. For us, the Orthodox, All Saints Day is the Sunday after Pentecost. The idea is to connect sanctity with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. It also marks the beginning of the Apostles Fast. We scoff at all this talk about Samhain.

Halloween is a pagan holiday, if you want to celebrate it by all saints say then do you but you can’t also celebrate it how the world does, that would be quite literally serving 2 masters, research the origins of halloween and why the world does all of the halloween traditions such as dressing up and trick or treating, you can’t do both.

It is not about being catholic it's about knowing Jesus and reading Bible, catholism itself won't bring you salvation if you don't follow Word of God and repent. Watch John Ramirez the ex satanist now pastor on how he explains Haloween and what is actual backstory of that "innocent" day.

Halloween? Don’t buy candy, turn off the porch light, pretending not to be home! What does light have to do with darkness? Leave it alone. 🙏✝️🙏
