Idol brought me here, too. Bawling watching the family watching her, meeting her, feeling her mother again. Omg what to say? This sounds like it was made for record sales. At 16?! The singers, the orchestra, all of it! There’s a special someone watching over this amazing woman. Can’t wait to see more!❤

Just watched video on her mom who passed away..She has even surpassed her mother's talent, as evidence here at the young age of 16 years old..She made her mom proud..I am sure her mom is smiling down on her. Now,at 25 years old, she has a big career ahead of her, with her Angelic voice. Good luck to her on American Idol!

No matter who sings it, it's not at all accurately Scriptural. Prove me wrong. Read the lyrics. Then read what you think it corresponds to in the Bible. The music is great but the only thing Holy in it is the word HALLELUJAH.

Clearly people want to sing that word , hear the song , feel its embrace and maybe , just maybe believe in something bigger than any of us can articulate .

This is a beautiful performance, but you're right. It's too soft, clinical. It needs more passion. This song, like so many of Cohen's (all of Cohen's?) songs, is a cry of agony, of pain - and wonderment. The whole wonderful, awful agony of love.

I saw Leonard Cohen in concert in 2012, his golden voice, eyes closed, was unbelievable when he sang his hallelujah ...magic, touches the heart and soul.

All I can say is that the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and Savior overwhelms me!

The architecture in this arrangement and the craftsmanship in its delivery are a marriage of two maximums that could make me believe in God again!

Wow. At 16 to be able to control your nerves in such a setting and sing with such a beautiful tone. It shows great maturity in her voice. Whether anyone likes her version or not, they can not deny her talent.

A beautiful voice of a young lady, the symphony and the choir are truly amazing. I love it.

Mckenna voice is very special. Nothing like it.

I'm not a fan of how she sings it, but the lyrics to this song are just so POWERFUL and MEANINGFUL. Especially when you know God, and how he changes your life, mind, and perspective on everything.

I cannot get enough of this! I have to get my choir teacher to let us sing this. This rendition is so beautiful 💖

Oh what a combination of a clear strong and a soft voice...

The orchestra and the choir how awesome you feel like listening and you can hear each instrument respectfully. I’ll stand before the Lord of Song with nothing on my tongue but hallelujah!!

This is one of my all time favorite, haunting tunes. The full orchestra and choir and the soloists mesmerizing voice make it one if my all-time favorite covers EVER! I love everything about it!

Now I have found a second "best version of Halleluja ever" with the other being Pentatonix version. They are so different and unique and incomparable: With Pentatonix I am getting goosebumps and I am astonished about the five single voices and the unison and the strength and aspect of their voices. And this is the complete opposite. While the solist is doing a fantastic performance, it really is the choir and the outburst of voices and instruments that moves me to tears. Both versions so different, both versions perfect, both my favorite.

I'm pretty sure she's going to be in the top 3. With the right song choices, she could win. I suggest Sound of Silence for iconic rock songs. Nothing is more iconic than this great Simnon & Garfunkle classic. If you listen to the Irish folk singer, Malinda's acapella version (youtube), you'll get an idea of how Mckenna's voice and style of delivery are perfectly suited for this great song. But, whether she wins or not, I'll definitely stand in line to hear her.

Besides being beautiful and having such a voice as a gifted instrument, she seems humbled. I credit her birth parents as well as her parents who adopted her, they did a great job guiding McKenna. Heavens looks on with Joy. Blessings

Such a stirring rendition of this timeless song. I love the ebb and flow of the choir and the soloist on each of the Hallelujahs. You can't help but feel chills and want to listen to it again and again.
