Agreed. There was a quote from Noel Gallagher(Oasis) about 15 years ago but I’ve always thought best described it. I tried to find the exact quote, but I couldn’t find it precisely. But to the best of my recollection the quote was… “If all U2 ever did was write, record, and release the song One, their existence in the world of popular music would be cemented forever“

She doesn't do it as smooth or as emotional as Bono. The orchestra carry her.

She like an angel that came down to telling the story of what has been going on in this world! Just amazing, and more than that this is a miracle…

3:29 “One life with each other… But we’re not the same. We get to carry each other“ I always thought the one of the most overlooked parts of this song is the word “get” in that lyric. In fact a lot of people use the word “have” in that lyric when they cover this song. But I think using the word “get“ delivers an entirely different message and perspective on how we should view each other. It conveys the idea that we should view it as a privilege to help one another.. as opposed to the word “have“ which gives the essence of a burden. It’s such a beautiful phrase.

I literally forgot how to breathe whilst listening to this, stunning arrangement. And the singer didn't over sing it which made it a perfect cover.Just wow

A beautiful song that will always be defined by Bono's performance but it is so encouraging to see the music across the spectrum of performance. That defines a great song.

This was one of my first love’s favorite songs. She had a dad that had abandoned her as a baby. And me being 17 hadn’t had really any pain up to that point. Now at 45 this song tears at my heart.

Never heard or seen anybody other than Bono performing this classic. She is awesome as is the orchestra.

McKenna is something special, such talent. Beautifully done

The original version of this song by U2 was released in 1991 on the album Achtung Baby . It has become one of the most iconic songs of all time in the decades since. The lyrics were inspired by the band's fractured relationship at the time and their attempts to unify. We're glad they worked through their differences! :) Over the years the lyrics have been interpreted in many ways and the band has used "One" to promote human rights causes. This song features a beautiful solo performance by McKenna Breinholt and of course the amazing Cinematic Pop Choir and Orchestra.

i prefer their latest-songs of experience (deluxe edition), as a total album-but achtung has a few of my faves on it.

I love songs that have orchestra music. This changes the whole song. Beautiful.
