    Gotta admit, the guitars, drums and everything is pretty chocolate cakey. Bass drum is perfect, not a cockroach-to-windscreen-"bass" drum but a proper one, with punch and air. Snare cuts through just the right amount most of the time. Still, I'm missing actual ringing toms in modern metal music, but I guess they take it out because it makes the mix muddy or something? But seriously, the toms' ring doesn't cut through at all, as if it was just 100% taken out deliberately. I mean, if the toms are played 3 % of the time, why can't they just ring like they should, I don't get it

  • @chrismills7703

    @chrismills7703

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@nenissaK Sorta answered your own question. Sure maybe he only plays the toms 3% of time overall, but its not like he hits one tom every thirty seconds or something, he hits a bunch of them all in a short period of time like in a fill or something like 2:15. All that ringiness would just get in the way and clutter things up real quick

    Glad i found this comment. I though i was alone. Nothing wrong in that part (the begining). The bad part is that after he intro it was more of a "i want a single" type of generic metal band (straight out of roadrunner type of band) and less of a modern prog metal band with sparkles of old prog...as they came put in the first albums. Heither way....i whish them the best as an full album has "space" to fill all of the purposes and they already done more than enough for the genre to do as they please.
