This why nobody touches my hair. Last perm I had, the stylist burned my scalp horrifically. I learned my lesson. This happened in1997. 😢

Your a terrific hairdresser who cares more about doing what's right by the client/the health of the clients hair than making a dollar.. your integrity is admirable 💐

Me watching this going..."oh yeah I'ma stretch my chemicals all the way out!" I'm stretching out bleach for 12 months minimum....Good thing too because I went through some stress and nutrient deficiencies in December and lost some hair...if I was a bleach and colour addict I would be bald. My hair gets over processed easily so I'm careful now with chemicals especially since I know my hair likes to fall out if my nutrients dip or I get stressed. Also the menopause is coming for me so I need to be extra extra careful! The menopause be taking out women's hair of all ethnicities!!

Absolutely. If you're dealing with Menopause, use strengthen shampoo and conditioner. Always deep conditions every two weeks, and do your hot oil treatment once a month... This will help with dryness and breakage. The link to the strengthening shampoo and conditioner. I use at the salon, and hot oil treatment is in the bio...

@@BehindTheScenesM2GH thanks. I live in the UK. Shipping and Customs would be too high. I use Aphogee and Olaplex for hair strength. Unfortunately raw oil makes my scalp itch and become inflammed. I go to a trichologists clinic and they have me on a daily steam and weekly shampoo and deep condition with steam regimen. I'm on hair vitamins also.

I made the horrible mistake of perming and dying my hair within a short period of time. My hair literally fell out as I was washing out the perm. I haven’t used chemicals in years. To date, my hair is very healthy, past my bra strap.

Very true. Stick to one chemical treatment. It was too much. Hair is fragile. I don't do nothing to mine. It's thin and anything strong throws it off course.

Just cut it all off and start all over and keep your hair natural, that is, colour free and chemical free.

This is certainly one option. But the issue is not chemicals. It's either the lack of education or care from the stylist.

Actually keeping the hair and slowly trimming the damage every 6 weeks teaches people how to care for long hair instead of cutting it all off and big chopping every year!
