I've done the butterfly cut several times and it was so easy and really good. If you follow HIS instructions, it's soooo easy. Wet your hair. Make sure you comb/brush your hair smooth. Place the ties where he tells you to.

I've been cutting my hair myself for a while, decided I wanted to go a professional for once and I went to a hairdresser in Australia... they cut my hair so hilariously uneven, that I just learned how to do it myself 😂 Brad's tutorials are a great place to start, from there you can learn and adapt what works for you! Just don't cut too much, and you can still adjust if you mess up a bit!

Gave myself a wolf cut last week. Mostly just to freshen my ends. Followed what Brad said and it was easy peasy. 💜

It's your Wolf Cut Tutorial. The Ponytail in the Front is the Butterfly Haircut

You have a tutorial video for a wolf haircut and another video for a butterfly haircut. In the tutorial video of the wolf haircut, the ponytail is not placed in front but on top. But in the butterfly haircut the ponytail is in front. I think that's why people get confused...

I did the Butterfly cut almost a year ago and it literally took about 15 minutes... the bulk of the time spent on getting my hair smooth. I wet my hair, I put the hair ties where I was told to, I cut it straight... and it was one of the best haircuts I've ever had! Sooooo EASY! I honestly don't get how it's so difficult for these people...other than a refusal to follow instructions. I've done it a few more times to maintain the length and, weirdly (LOL), each time it was quick, easy and exactly what it was supposed to be!

I can't feel sorry for people like the girl in the yellow. She couldn't even be bothered to find a tutorial that she understood and that didn't skip explaining things. If somebody can't even do that then they don't care about the result and nobody should feel bad if they only decide to switch their brains on AFTER scissors have been used.

@@RenataKleinRKi do a bob on myself all the time. i mean it's not magazine-worthy but i keep my hair in a ponytail most of the time anyway, i just put it in 4 sections like brad says and then i cut the front sections straight across and the back sections kind of angled down from my shoulders to my shoulder blades to make up for the overdirection and it's a decent serviceable bob.

I was so confused when Brad said the position of the ponytails were wrong. I have followed his tutorial a couple of times and I put it at the same position. I had to go back to see if I did it wrong and I think Brad is confusing the wolf cut tutorial with the butterfly cut, where you have one ponytail at the apex and one in between your brows 😅🦋 Both of the tutorials works great! I have done both a couple of times. My absolute favorite is the butterfly 🥰

@Britt. Both! But on the top of the head is the wolf cut and pulled to the forehead is the butterfly cut. I've watched both of those videos of his and that's how he did it for each of those... that's why I was so confused when he was saying it was wrong lol Silly Brad got his Flys switched 😂

Oh wait.. I think I misread your question, the wolf cut you pull to the top of your head, not the crown. Maybe an inch from your forehead going towards the crown if that makes sense

In your wolf cut tutorial you did put the ponytail at the top of the head. Either way, STUNNING! You're a great teacher.

The wolf cut has become my go-to style of cut. I touch it up every few months, mainly to get rid of dead ends and thin it out because my hair's way too thick. I always watch Brad's tutorial beforehand so I don't get too crazy with the scissors and start thinking I'm a hairstylist lmao.

I did Brads butterfly cut tutorial and it came out perfectly. I took off like 7 inches from the front and back and it was the perfect length 🥰

I love the joy in Jules Jumps' face as she was cutting with the scissors at 15:38. That made my day.

Going to salon's now is too stressful for me. They require you to post before pictures, inspiration pictures, and fill out surveys before they call you to actually schedule something. And the cuts cost between $50-$100. All I ever want is a trim. I don't have the time or energy to deal with that noise. Thanks to you and your tutorials, I have successfully become my own hair stylist. It cost the low, low cost of some cutting sheers and thinning sheers. I have also become the stylist for my mom, son, and husband as well. People think my mom and son go to a salon (husband is growing hair out, so I just even things and thin the poofy parts). I cut my 9 year old daughter's hair using the butterfly cut. It went so well. She had hair just past her butt, all one length. I cut about 10 inches off and it layered so beautifully.

Man I wish I could have filmed my bleaching and cutting when Covid first hit. I did a 2 block undercut and oh my gosh I loved it. The bleach was even, but I got bored and didn’t bother doing the colour, still managed to rock the blond. So proud of myself.
