    My hair is curly but less curly at the back and more curly on the front. So if I put up that ponytail slightly further back (slightly ☝🏼) I suppose that would help the top of the back layer being shorter as that’s where my hair is going to curl up less so would look more even….hope it makes sense….not like you have time to reply to this, just thinking out loud…

    The first girl is unsure how it looks, but it came out so good. She did that. With the two side parts being bleached blonde peaking ever so slightly with the layering and bangs, it gave her so much personality. I loved her final look.

    The second girl, her hair... OMG I was distracted from the cut because she has the most stunning natural hair I've ever seen. The thickness, the weight, and that honey-ginger-biscuity colour - insanely beautiful. She's so lucky! So fun fact about the second person--who based on their shirt I'm assuming has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), EDS--even though it's a collective of diseases that affect collagen and not keratin, both thins the hair and increases the size of the hair follicles, which makes it kind of a nightmare to work with because it tangles and breaks super easily. I have the classical type of EDS, and it takes a decent amount of effort to make my hair look presentable. Layered cuts like this go a long way in giving the illusion of fullness and texture, so I'm glad that's what this person chose to do!

  • @vampirebottom

    @vampirebottom

    Жыл бұрын

    @smokee1325 @smokee1325 @smokee1325 I definitely have a much harder time with getting bleach to process and really, really need to go hard on the saturation to get any lift! It holds permanent dye well enough, but semi/demi tends to wash out pretty quickly. My hair is also coarse and 2c/borderline 3a, so it just drinks product up. I can't speak for EDS people with fine or straight hair, but all the combined factors for me means that I prioritize a lot of hydration and product saturation and barely touching my hair outside of finger combing or using a wide tooth comb to detangle on wash days. Otherwise it's a messnof hair that's prone to breakage but also stretches out quite a bit before breaking and puts a lot of tension on the scalp. 🙃 That might have been more info than what you needed or wanted, I'm sorry!

    @@vampirebottom Is that why it takes me so much work to get my hair to lift????? Oh my god?? I had no idea. Mild case of EDS Hypermobility here. I have Middle Eastern & Asian mixed hair, very dark & very coarse and I thought it was just because of that, but my other relatives don't have anywhere near as hard of a time as I do with lifting it.

Anything that can give you some closure do that, just hang in there I don’t want to say it gets better with Time but it becomes a little bit less hard after time❤ stay strong you have just been through one of the worst things anyone can go through give yourself a break every now and then. also some people may discount your emotions and tell you you’re wrong to be so upset and guess what that’s not true you’re allowed to be as upset as you want and they are emotionally stunted I have people in my life like this you just have to realize that’s how they are and that’s on them. try to be around friends and family who love you

I even replied I was having trouble with how to claim it, and got NO response. But atleast it made him look good that it was offered... Typical Brad. 😠 Years ago we were told by him that if we sent a direct text to him in a certain time frame the HE would respond back and that we would be mailed a product of his. Well an automatic service replied back, basically saying thanks for following Brad, 3 of my friends all sent the text as well, with the SAME automatic service reply. Empty promises from Brad...

    @@suzanneplex4892 Not trying to be rude but it sounds like your negative experiences can be chalked up to scams and unrealistic expectations Definitely sounds like you were targeted by one of the numerous fake “you’ve won a prize/giveaway/discount code” scams on social media. Winners of Brads giveaways get contacted directly and privately…no link to follow, so it sounds like you were caught out by a scam unfortunately And to be fair, every time I’ve ever heard Brad say about replying to texts in his videos, I’ve only ever heard him say that he will reply to SOME of the texts he receives in the first ‘X amount of time’ after the video goes live…he has a LOT of subscribers…it’s a bit unrealistic to expect him to be able to respond to every single message personally. I rarely see people with the same hair texture as me! (second girl) It's so hard to style without being frizzy because it's so fine. As soon as you wet it slightly, it tangles. And no, unfortunately the leave in conditioner doesn't work because if you put enough in for that, it'll be super stringy when it dries.

    OMGosh, these are brave women! They did a great job. The first girl has my hair length and I was just whining in a 2 week old video about how I beg my hair to grow! I feel bad now. Sorry hair, you’re fabulous and gorgeous just as you are! 😂

    Oh! Thanks for splaining why the hair is still the same length! I've done this like 5X and passed my ideal face framing making it shorter than I wanted, but still had the length in the back that I was trying to shorten! lol

    So, I've been doing this cut since the 70's. Just got rid of it today and buzzed my head. Wolf cut? I always thought it was just long layers. Thought buzzing my hair would be a huge deal, I love it but seems like no big deal now. Then again, we all thought David Bowie's hair was crazy in the seventies and many of us copied his hair cut back then. All Bowie really had was a red mullet. Always loved the long layered look. They look great.

    I just realized apparently I’ve been getting a “wolf cut” since middle school from my stylist lol I didn’t know there was a name, I just always came in wanting side bangs, layers, and what she called “whispy” but I called “spikey” cutting- not blunt cut. But it looks just like that first girl.

    The second video, the person with the zebra T-shirt on, the Zebra is the symbol for something called "Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome" [EDS], and at one point we see it written on the shirt, I think Ehlers Danlos society? If she herself has EDS then I imagine she probably found that really difficult, the brushing, tying up, wetting the hair, holding up the ponytail, etc. It would probably be quite painful. It is also possible that the unexpected wonkiness when she first took her hair down was due to slowly hyper-extending her arm, or it being pulled out of line from her back down her arm to her hand. For anyone who wants to know what Ehlers Danlos Syndrome actually is: EDS is a rare disease affecting the connective tissues, which are found throughout the entire body. Therefore EDS can cause a whole lot of different problems and different symptoms anywhere or everywhere within the body. It often takes people years, even decades too long, to receive the correct diagnosis if they have EDS. In some cases the long delay means that people have sustained damage to their body and health they would have been unlikely to have if their condition had been correctly identified much earlier and managed appropriately. The zebra is used as a symbol for the condition because apparently in med school, student doctors are told "when you hear hooves, think horses, not zebras", basically a way of saying - not completely incorrectly, but sadly taken too rigidly - that if when seeing a patient you can (metaphorically) hear hoofbeats don't think beyond the possibility of a horse, just keep looking for a horse. With the "horse" being used as a metaphor for the more common/prevalent "regular" illness or conditions. The phrase and what it means implicitly adds on "and certainly don't think of rare diseases", or metaphorically, don't even think of looking for a "zebra". Even if there's one right there, look for horses instead.

    Your visceral pain hearing the first girl call her hair "short" after she cut it... I feel that Brad. My hair has only ever been past my shoulders ONCE in my life. Senior year of high school, and it was only JUST past my shoulders. Otherwise I've ALWAYS had bangs, and almost always hair above my shoulders. I've always wondered what I'd look like with a full long head of hair...
