Once Haffy gets his shoulder/pec area stronger/fully healed and his press up he'll be unstoppable. His press may never really fully recover, but events at the Arnolds and other competitions may change to suit him more over the next couple of years, who knows? We had 2 press events at the end which was hard for Thor in Arnolds 2024. Another positive takeaway for Thor was his massively improved grip. Those behind the back barbell holds paid off. He used to drop the frame or farmers implement once a race, but now he can podium the frame carry every time, maybe even eventually win it from Mitch and Matteusz.

This is how you know he has like WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more where that came from. I hope as an athlete he gets his opportunity to lift 500+ in competition to put an end to the saga. That and the fact that after stepping away from the competition to train otherwise... he got himself trimmed and all those other things to actually be a better version of his former competing form.

@@ColinsCountry I actually think 544 might be beyond human limits. If you look closer at Thor's condition when he pulled the 501, he's packed about as much muscle on his frame as he could. he might be able to push the limit up a little bit further but up to 544? I don't see that happening unless a true ''freak of nature'' like Andre the Giant, WITHOUT the health problems comes along. Someone bigger than Thor with the frame to pack on the muscle needed for such weights. Don't get me wrong, it be amazing to see it happen but looking at it realistically, it's very unlikely.

There is a trick to controlling the elephant bar, but this way you dont have to break all the weight off of the floor almost instantly like you would have to with a normal bar. Sure some people struggle with this variation but I would think it has to do with the peculiarity of the instrument rather than the weight.
