I can’t tell, are rounds 1 and 2 of the slst/hdc not joined? Also, you’re working into the back loop, correct? I see ridges and my work doesn’t have ridges because I haven’t been working into the back loop.

Thank you for a gorgeous bonnet. Sorry I’m very confused, I was following the written pattern and thought I’d check out your video, but it looks like you are working in the back loops of the stitches but it doesn’t say that in the pattern, which is correct?

If it's an even number of stitches how is she alternating slip and hdc? I keep ending and starting with the same kind of stitch. Ie end with slip and start with hdc. Confusing.

When starting the decorative stich (which is the moss stich) it is obvious there are either 39 or 41 stiches in this video. With 40 stiches if you begin with hdc and alternate correctly, the last one will be a slip stich for sure

Semi new to crochet. I tried this and unraveled to start again because I kept ending up with anything but 40 stitches in those decorative rows. How did anyone who has completed this remedy that? Stitch markers or…? It’s such a cute pattern, and I don’t want to give up
