@@SaeedReacts.this was a performance whilst he was a judge on the Voice Aus. The voice highlights each judge during the season with their songs and a collective 4 judge song or two each season. Each judge also performs with their finalist I think. He won the first Aus Idol many years ago. Thanks for the reaction

His songs tend to have many layers and deep meaning, he's just incredible and very underrated in the U.S. His live version of "Standing With You" from The Voice AU is crazy good, the video is a an emotional gut punch. Thanks heaps for the great reaction. Guy on the voice was a judge, his brother Chris is very talented to and won The Voice Australia a few years back. Guy won the first Australian idol in 2003. You should check out Stan Walker bro who is very similar to Guy. Stan Walker “ultralight beam” “amazing grace” a few examples to listen to

No this performance was last year... He wrote this song for his wife Jules. That video you saw was when Lupe Fiasco came to Australia to promote Battle scars. I would actually suggest you check out the official video as it has relevant explanations of why Guy wrote it. I'm so thrilled you reacted to this Saeed. His charity The Sebastian Foundation...and all the fund raising he does...but just know he's one of the kindest, genuine human beings I've ever meet. Great to see you've got to listen to this! Personally I prefer the music video for this, and with Guy, you know he can sing so you never have to wonder in his music videos whether his voice has been autotuned to hell. He's legit. Next recommendation is his song "Standing With You" but do the music video, it's good!

Guy is amazing, the video where he surprises the school kids with a visit, and the follow-up are both absolutely precious. Worth checking out Set In Stone too. Another rabbit hole you won’t regret! Then there’s John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes, Diesel, Vanessa Amarosi, Tina Arena, Delta Goodrem.. the list goes on! 😉

Guy won the first Australia idol, then he became a judge on the voice, which is this show. If you look closely you will see an empty chair where the rest of the judges are sitting, that's the chair Guy sits in, Guy also wrote this song to his wife because she felt like she wasn't good enough anymore for her famous husband. Guy and his wife are beautiful people, there is a lot on KZread to do with Guy, check out Choir which Guy wrote for his mate and band member who sadly took his own life.

He won the first Australian Idol, here he was a judge/mentor on The Voice Australia. Such a beautiful but sorta dark song like many of his are. If you do a reaction of Battlscars..there are a few live ones that are great..i like the one on Xfactor Australia (Lupe is there also)! Though the studio version is also great.

BTW, the mix for this one was great, definitely improvement over your earlier recorded vids 👍 And no, he didn't win The Voice. He was the winner of the first season of Australian Idol back in 2003. His first few years were a bit too fluffy pop for my taste, he's aged like a fine wine. Better life experience brings better songwriting, and his voice has only gotten better with age.
