One of my favorite Guy Sebastian songs! Incredible voice and beautiful lyrics!

Once I discovered who Guy Sebastian was, I was really surprised that he didn't have a bigger footprint in North America. His voice is incredible. My introduction to him was as a coach on The Voice Australia. Saeed, you make such interesting musical choices. I'm hooked. 🙂

From what i have been hearing from some Australian subscribers it seems that few artists actually make it global or dont even seek global recognition. But the Australian artists i discovered on this channel are definitely world class artists. Guy is one of them, i discoverd him pretty early in my journey. Even with my old recording equipment 😅

Hi! I think from what I’ve heard when Guy went to America they wanted him to change his image and sing material that didn’t agree with his Christian beliefs! He has a huge following in Australia and he is a judge on The Voice and has been for several years!

@@wendyryder2708 Seems to be an ongoing story with American execs. They did the same to Cold Chisel, so they came back to Australia and wrote “you got nothing I want”. There loss, our gain 😀🇦🇺

@@wendyryder2708 there's so, so many aussie artists which for one reason or another aren't on the world stage - a lot of it because they wanted to maintain creative control. only have to look at people like matt corby and tim minchin. tim mentions it in "dark side" - obviously, he has excelled in other areas on the world stage (comedy, musical theatre etc).

Oh Saeed I knew this one would resinate with you because of the honesty of the lyrics. Guy heard his cousin was in a bad place emotionally and he saw a message he wrote 'The world would be a better place without me' Guy spent many long hours talking to him and thankfully he is now in a good head space. Guy penned this song for him just to remind him he's not alone. That's Guy, that's what he writes about 'real life situations' etc. Another song Guy wrote years ago but, which is very relevant in today's world was "Get Along". Thanks again for this reaction my friend. Much love from Australia.

Thank you for requesting this. I read about him telling the story about this song 🥹 hearing Guy talking about this touched me so much. I myself have survived 3 suicide attempts. I’m in a much better place because of people like him in my family. 🙏🏼 blessings from Southern California. 🤗💋🥰

@@tammyhill3798 Yes it's a blessing to have someone who is 'Standing with you' when the world gets too heavy. Guy writes from his heart about 'real life' part of me also hears this as a 'prayer' as I realise that we can ask God to be there in our prayers. Guy is also a man of faith... So pleased things are going well for you sending lots of love from Australia.

It’s a beautiful song from the heart based on a family experience. Guy has the voice and he has the heart to deliver such words. Have you listed to Choir? The lyrics for that are brilliant - a tribute to his friend who took his own life.

@@SaeedReacts. Try the official video for that song. It shows Guy’s and Luke’s sons at the end. Luke was part of Guy’s musical team so you will appreciate the lyrics in that context. It truly is a tribute song. Heartfelt but uplifting.

It's a beautiful song & Guy is a genuine nice bloke! That's one thing about the Aussie music industry is they're all down to Earth Aussie blokes or Sheila's that no matter the genre of music support & respect each other, there's no competition between them. I watched a vid of Aussie hip hop/rappers Hilltop Hoods that absolutely love & respect & look up to our greatest & most loved rock star Jimmy Barnes as a solo artist & with his band, our greatest ever in my opinion Cold Chisel. To completely different genres but the love, respect, support are their for each other to help each other to be the best they can & theyre genuinely great mates.... we're so spoilt in Australia with our music industry that the rest of the world have never heard of until now with KZread & other social media sites that can now see the amazing talent we have down her in our "Great Southern Land 🇦🇺". That's a brilliant song too by Icehouse if u haven't heard it. It's about Australia as a country, about the land itself & is such a patriotic song that it gives u goosebumps & a tear in ya eye. The Aussie cricket team actually have Great Southern Land as their song as the take to the field & sitting in stands gives u chills & hearing the first note which is like a calling to all Aussie's to stop & be proud of ourselves & our most beautiful country, our Great Southern Land 🇦🇺

These lyrics are more helpful than any well-meaning platitudes that we tend to trot out - they are in a very lonely place and we can't join them there, all we can do is be there by their side, quietly.

Guy knows how to create music that moves you and that everyone can relate to.

I had the same reaction to this son g as you are the first time I heard it. It's a case of 'if you know you know'. And wanting someone to tell you the world won't be better without you is so important. I hope you are okay. This song is beautiful. You should check out "Antidote" it's like a thank you to the people that make us better people.

His visit to school choir that been practising his song choir The kids didn't know he was going their You'll love it if haven't seen it Later on there's one when the kids get him back He didn't know it either I know you're had your own issue's as you've been open to us So all I can say take everything as it comes and do things when your up to it We are our own worst credits and see ourselves completely different from what others do Intern put way to much pressure on ourselves then necessary as we strive for perfection Just try to remember where all got flaws as that's what makes us humans and different from anything else on the planet Where here for you as well as the enjoyment we get from your site There's no doubt your helping others understand theirs help and a future Because your living proof of this and also showing it's a life long battle and will be for ever Just like addiction for people who are able to break it But have to battle it every second of the day and night for the rest of their lives Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍
