Guy is one of Australia's best kept secrets. Has had some small success in USA with a duet with Lupe Fiasco in the song "Battlescars". I would recommend though you check Guy out doing Battlescars live from the homefront as an acoustic solo. It is raw and powerful and beautiful.

Guy won the first Australian Idol and has gone on to be one of Australia’s most popular entertainers. Now a judge on the Voice Australia. His song writing is wonderful. This one dedicated to a family member battling mental illness. His brother Chris has recently won The Voice. How’s that for a talented family. We love them both.

Guy Sebastian is one of Australia’s premier singer/songwriters who has achieved ten top ten albums including 3 number ones, and 6 number one singles, which puts him 3rd overall in the top Australian artists. He was a judge on XFactor and The Voice and represented Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest. He also has been awarded an AM in the Queens birthdays honours list for all his charity work and has set up his own foundation. Can’t rate him highly enough because every song is a winner.

I love listening to Guy Sebastian. He has a voice that has that calming ballad quality, yet his lyrics always hit you in the feels. Another great song he has is - Like A Drum. He is a judge on The Voice Australia. This song, Standing With You, has helped me through some tough times. Dealing with anxiety and C-PTSD, I often feel alone. This song, always brings tears to my eyes. It is so powerful in both the lyrics and how he delivers it. In an interview, Guy Sebastian said "A family member of mine was going through a very tough time, and he was brave enough to share his battle with his own mental health, and that inspired this song. It's about the power of just being there. Sometimes - as a friend or as a support to people who go through things - it's not about having the right anecdotes or answers; it's really more about just being that silent presence. Especially at a time like this when there's a lot of people who are feeling isolated, this song is a reminder to look out for people who feel alone".

I am SO HAPPY that you’ve stumbled onto Guy Sebastian, as an Aussie I can’t express to you how proud I am that this bloke comes from here (I even live in his hometown of Adelaide 😁) this guy’s voice is ridiculous and there’s no better video to showcase that than his live performance of his most popular song ‘Battle Scars’ for an at home concert event they did for ANZAC Day. Omg…yes guy is so so good he’s a fabulous singer/songwriter in Australia. He won the very first aust idol years ago and is a current judge on the voice. Has had so many hits, his voice is amazing. His biggest hit overseas was battle scars (live is outstanding or the video had lupe fiasco singing the rap part) There are so many songs he has written that is good. choir is one that he wrote about a member of his band and friend that passed away from depression. But one of my favourites is Get Along its beautiful ..enjoy Oh and guy came 5th one year in Eurovision 🤷‍♀️ when Australia were invited to compete.

I think maybe start at the beginning of his tv start. Back when Guy won Australian Idol. He's been amazing from a young age. Now a coach on the Voice Australia, Happily married with 2 kids. A God fearing man. Helps his community. Has a great message with everything he writes. u can FEEL every verse.

A little bit of advice when listening to Guy Sebastian or even Australians in general, they’re even better live.

Guy wrote this song after losing his best mate and band member to suicide. Guy also wrote the song choir after losing his mate check that song out too. This song standing with you is to remind people no matter who you are and what you might be going through always remember you are loved and you are needed and no matter what it's OK not to be OK all of the time and it's OK to ask for help because someone will always be there standing with you to fight your battles and you will make it out the other side, never give up.

Our Guy from down the road here in South Australia is one of our Aussie Icons that won the 1st. Australian Idol here, when he was a young school singing coach. He has been Coach on both Exfactor & is still on The Voice. He is Married to his High School sweetheart Jules & they have 2 young sons! His Voice & songs just awesome! He really needs to be on the World Stage! See where his friend & another of your Aussie reactions is Touring America ATM!! So happy for her !

Guy is such an amazing singer he puts his heart and soul into his songs Australia has one VERY talented singer and Guy has the biggest heart always helping other❤️❤️ If this gave you the feels please do a reaction to his performance of Standing With You he did Live the other weekend for the Floods Appeal he put his heart and soul into this performance and you could see that and its different to how he sings it in this video, believe me you won't be disappointed it's on his Facebook page. Guy is one of Australia's most talented singer songwriters he won the very first Australian idol & has had numerous award winning albums he is currently a judge on the voice Australia & has been for a few years now. This song was written for a friend who was feeling very low. Sadly it's not a new theme for Guy as his brother in law ended his life while Guy & his new wife were on their honeymoon. One of his songs choir was huge here about a musical friend who also ended his life & when you listen to both choir & standing with you the love ❤️ & compassion he has is truely beautiful.

This is one of those amazing songs only Guy could bring to the world and move emotions through you. Guy is an amazing human being and a good soul

I am a Canadian. Fluked on to him on one of his early judging gigs. I really like Guy. Aren’t too many of his songs you can go wrong with. Ive watched clips of the Voice Australia and knew OF him but never heard him sing until this one video of a voice teacher that sang Climb Every Mountain, (which is one of the songs he sang on Australia's Got Talent - which he was their first winner of that sho, btw) when he got up and sang the chorus with her. Their voices were so beautiful together, I had to look him up. Now I am a real fan. This particular song is beyond amazing. Thanks for reacting to it

Battlescars....unbelievable. Angels brought me here. The way he sings Climb every mountain from American Idol. Check out some of the Voice Australia clips with him performing. I'm astonished the US doesn't have this voice everywhere. He is truly an incredible voice and seems like such a great guy. oh....don't forget Choir, Before I go and Believer. I just found him a few months ago and I've downloaded everything I could get my hands on and subscribed to his channel.

This song was inspired by a family member who was suffering with mental health and was brave enough to speak up and share his battle with depression. From what I have read, it was Guy's cousin. He was contemplating self harming, and Guy was there for him. Not 100% sure of the circumstances, but self harm and mental health is a huge topic for Guy Sebastian. His wife's brother self harmed 5 days after they got married and he also lost a close band member, Luke Liang to this as well (the song Choir is dedicated to him)
