I absolutely ❤ hearing about your health updates, new challenges and progress! I'm older than you( 40s) and I think you're 30. Regardless, I love that you're getting a jump on paying attention to your body and your health. I wish I would have known to pay attention to things when I was younger. I think we just push through when we are in 20s/30s ( well I did) and ignore our bodies warning signs of aches, pains, getting labs to see if we are deficient in minerals, vitamins etc.I'm just now starting to really pay attention and take care of myself and get educated. So good for you!🎉I am learning from you and inspired by your motivation for self care❤❤❤

I’m in my 40s too! (Just turned 43 in December). And when Alex did that to her neck I literally DMed her on insta and told her that I was doing a peloton standing core work out and my lower back gave out. And that’s never happened to me. So it forced me to start doing stretches and mobility work outs and also yoga since I can’t let myself use weights until my back is 100% better. It’s Feb 15th now and I’m still not ready to use weights just yet even though I think doing all these stretches and mobility workouts have SERIOUSLY helped relieve my lower back pain. I totally learned the same lesson as Alex. We have to take our time to warm up and stretch before and after strength training.

AMEN! For saying working out clears your head and makes you a better person to get along with I’ve been saying this for years. Just let me workout first and I could then get along with anyone. Don’t apologize for wanting that in your life after having it taken from you because of injury.

Thanks for sharing Alex! I worked as an Administrator at a psychiatric clinic for a long time and our lady psychiatrist did the WHOLE BODY approach; mind, body, spirit. Many female patients started off with the neuroscience test so I fully understand what you are going through and feel that you are on the right path. Address the inside and out; MIND BODY SPIRIT! God bless you and the family ♥️🩷♥️

Hi Alex! I’m cheering you up and wish you prompt muscle recovery. My gut/hormone health went down south once I turned 38. That’s when I learned that I was entering peri-menopause. For me…nothing worked. I did all the supplements, all the superfoods powder, etc. It was very frustrating and all the symptoms were turning me into a total different person. After 2 years of trying everything, I decided to listen to an advice someone gave me in the Homegoods checkout line. I tried a very low carb diet, focusing on protein and healthy fats for 90 days. Girl…I’m just so grateful to have crossed paths with that lady. I’m just thriving and glowing since then. I LOVEEEEE the way I feel/look! so much that I did not went back to an ASD and I never will. I cut dairy and sugar completely, those are so bad for us. I only drink kefir (after my last meal) and some raw cheeses here and there. A bit of stevia on my teas and a tsp of xylitol to sweeten coffees. I’m already so used to no sugar that sometimes I don’t even sweeten my coffee. I believe that is all about finding what works for you. I don’t mind experimenting with diets as long is for my own benefit (btw…I follow a vegan diet for over 10year) We are all so different and unique, we just have to figure it out. Much love and blessings to everyone ✨🩵

I had been getting recurrent “injuries” since I was 29 years old. I was lifting heavy and kept hurting myself. Fast forward about five years, I got a fibromyalgia diagnosis. Fast forward another five years and I found Pilates. It is life-changing and beautiful and sooo good for my body. And guess what. No more injuries. ❤ I hope you find exercises that you can tolerate and still brings you joy. And who cares if you exercise for vanity reasons. Everyone wants to look good AND feel good.

I have had injury after injury since last April and it's so frustrating having to stop working out and try to mend and heal myself.
