for anyone looking for a fresh start, let's reset our lives together (ep. 1)

IG: / rowenatsai | If you've been feeling stuck, lost, or stagnant as I have been, and you're ready for change, here's how we can reset our lives together :-) Starting with a long overdue deep cleaning and decluttering sesh. What better way to kick off a brand new season of our lives (because change is upon us 🤭), and get a head start on the new year than with a clean space for infinite inspiration, intentional productivity, and optimal mental clarity? ✨

🔍 Casa de Potate Notion template with rooms & progress bars: www.notion.so/potatofam/Week-...
In the video, I said having no game plan is the plan, but it's actually helpful to have a solid but loosely held idea of what you're going to do 🙂 I created the Notion template a week or so before I started filming, and have been mulling over all the things I want to get done around the house for ages that I can basically recite it, so I generally knew what I wanted to do. Please let me know if there's any way I can improve the template for you, when I put it together I didn't intend to share it so the formatting is a bit wonky. Hope it helps nonetheless ♡

"The more you value achievement the more you come to dread failure. Instead of aiming for unique accomplishments, the intense desire to succeed leads us to strive for guaranteed success. Once people pass an intermediate level in the need to achieve, there is evidence that they actually become less creative. - Adam Grant, Originals. 6:58 I truly needed to hear that quote. I've been so hyper-focused on achieving my goals and what I want for my future, that I am completely just not here, in the present moment. There will be a time when I'll miss these days, here, so I want to enjoy them to my fullest ability. Thank you for inspiring and helping me. I needed to hear that.

@@Random-qd1svI thought so too, but genuinely if you ask God to show you the truth He will, you just have to be open to hearing the answer. It’s literally a promise He makes (which I’ll show later). But if you close your ears and your heart and your mind, you’ll forever think your right because you’re not allowing yourself to hear what’s true. You will realize it’s because deep down you’re afraid to be proven wrong because then if God IS real, what does that mean for you? I struggled with that for myself. I USED to be agnostic, but now I’ve been Christian for the past three years because I asked God myself from an unbiased place to show me if He was real, to show me what the Truth was. I was tired of conflict and not knowing what or who to believe. It was my last straw and I needed answers. It took time, and I was expecting a grand entrance and a loud voice because I felt entitled and I was naive at the time. The truth was He answered me in times and places and ways that I didn’t expect. This would be different for everyone depending on how God knows they personally need to be communicated/connected with. But anyways, later on I ended up coming across two scriptures that I realized I had lived out without even noticing: Psalms 40:1 “I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.” And Jeremiah 29:13 “you will seek Me and find Me when you search for me wholeheartedly.” These were some final confirmation for me that He was the truth. Because I had literally lived out His scripture without knowing it existed. It wasn’t a big flip of the table where everything changed, but rather small changes here and there where eventually when I looked back to where I started, I realized everything was different, and it wasn’t because of me, it was because of Him.

I was once big on reading books and creating systems but with a couple of "lows" and having to restart again. I came to a point where trying becomes harder and I just gave up and cave in to what's easy (not progressing and stopped learning). But this video gave me that comfort that even my "lows" could just be seasons and I can always bounce back and relearn and love the things that once made me who I am and who I want to be. Thank you so much, Rowena! Your vulnerability and transparency is a such a beautiful type of mentorship that motivates people like me. 💕

I think this video just made me feel more stress, seeing the amount of things people have at their homes is SHOCKING! It's not about 'decluttering,' 'organizing,' or 'resetting'; it's about not buying more, living more consciously and thoughtfully. This video wouldn't exist if not for toxic relationships with yourself through consuming stuff.

I think she just moved in with her boyfriend- they are going from two homes worth of stuff to one, which is not an easy transition for everyone.

One thing I learned as I got older is you don’t have to wait till a new tear, month, or week in order to start something. Start it now and before you know it you will have made it a pattern.

I saw your little shark Tayto and when you said "rise and shine Potatoes!" I rubbed my lil normal tayto's belly not realising yet. Smoko is one of the best companies I love them. Had to pause mid video for excitement. Looking forward to seeing how the rest goes. 😊 Potato fam forever ❤❤
